Root [ROM] Deck's ReLoaded | LOTK | Ver 500 RLS

Funny, after installing this ROM I have lost all sound from the phone speaker... no ringtones, cannot hear music play, etc..

When I plug in HEADPHONES, the sound is there!!

Tried checking/changing settings in the PROFILES, but had no different results...

Any suggestions on how to get my phone speaker to work again so I can hear incoming calls ringtones and play music?

Also, have tried the GPS Settings app referred to in an earlier app; still no GPS... grrrrrrrr:confused::confused::confused:

Go to Settings > Advanced Settings > Sound > scroll down to where you see "Always Play On Speaker" and make sure all three are checked and there you go.

Thank you Music Junkie; had tried that but did not work...:o

Anyway, I re-wiped EVERYTHING on the phone, turned it off for 3 minutes (so the data left in the ram would fizzle out forever), re-installed the rom and everything works GREAT!!!

A thing of beauty!

Thanks again to the developers!!! ;):)

Looking for some answers for a couple of problems I'm having.

I can't get the wireless tethering to work...says it doesn't see my rooted phone. The phones wi-fi also doesn't work....just shows error when you try to turn it on

The wireless tether app caused a load up error in the kernel. Reboot the phone and use the built in hotspot. it works fine. If you insist on using wireless tether get version 2.08. Here you go:

Thanks...I used that version and it worked although I can't get the internet to work even thought it will make the connection. I'll work on that issue in the next day or so unless somebody else had that problem and found a fix.

One thing I did figure out was that both versions of the wireless tether that came with the rom would stop the default hot spot and wifi from working if I attempted to run either one first. I didn't have that issue if I tried the default hot spot or wifi first prior to using the tethers. The defaults worked fine with the 2.08 wireless tether though.

I have a couple questions about this ROM:

1. I understand this rom supports ext 4, which I will search how to do it but if I need to nand back to my sense rom to do the ## commands (##775#, ##3282# etc), will the ext 4 (which my nand sense rom MikG 3.11 does not support,) mess up something?

2. When I do convert to ext 4, do I need to run some command in Term. Em. to move stuff to it?

3. Can I safely move cache/dalvik cache to my ext 3 (or 4 when I do it) using the dta2sd commands in Terminal Emulator?

Thanks in advance!

Edit: I currently have a 32GB class 10 card partitioned w/ext 3 using dta2sd

So far I'm enjoying this rom, the kernel must be very good as I haven;'t been able to run my battery down and haven't' charged since day before yesterday. Very fast for most functions, really like the fact that Gapps were all baked in.

Still trying to work out:
*false voice mail notification every now and then
*lag when I long-press the screen to add an app, takes about 15 seconds between the time I touch "applications" and the time my app list shows up.

I dont even have an option to add app when I long press...I have to open app drawer and long press on the app to add to home screen. hmmm.
As far as the false voice mail notification issue, I dont have the problem...yet anyway...:)

Well it might not read your apps if EXT4 isn't supported, so in theory, you might not even be able to pull up your dialer. But (someone correct me if I'm wrong) a system apk like phone should stay on internal memory anyway, so I think it would probably work just fine. Worst case scenario, flash a new sense rom to enter the code rather than doing a nand restore and you won't have any issues.

2. When I do convert to ext 4, do I need to run some command in Term. Em. to move stuff to it?

All you'll have to do is upgrade EXT3 to EXT4 in recovery. I would make a backup of your SD card just in case, but this should not format your SD card by doing this.

3. Can I safely move cache/dalvik cache to my ext 3 (or 4 when I do it) using the dta2sd commands in Terminal Emulator?

Yep, just enter

su
a2sd cachesd

Thanks in advance!

Weird, wonder how that can be when I have it on mine?

The first time or two you add widgets or what have you it loads up the list slow. Then it loads fast. Such has always been the case on these gb roms.

Thanks! I'm loving that you've baked in a bunch of goodness but nothing that I don't want. Still learning my way around and liking it. Can't imagine all the work that must go into creating a rom.

Yes rc4 is boss, I'm bout to restore back to reloaded from cm7.2 rc3 and run it, the papasmurf tweaks make it too hard to toggle wifi and GPS.

Umm..hey Mizzou, The only thing I just ran in Terminal Emulator was the a2sd cachesd.....the phone rebooted, now I have no home screen icons...in fact, all my restored apps are gone. I've lost all my contacts also.
Its as if I just flashed the rom:mad:
help?

Go into terminal emulator

su
a2sd repair

let it run. I don't think it will prompt a reboot. Then run:

a2sd reinstall

Then you should be good. I had this happen a lot on reloaded. Ropodope has said they got this ironed out for the next release.

Well, the only terminal emulator that I have is the one included in the rom.
I type su and I get nothing
Right now I'm in recovery....didnt do anything yet ...sitting at recovery.

Edit: the only good thing I got going for me is I made a nandroid backup before I did this
