Root Power Problems?

Hello!
Whenever I try to turn my phone off via the power menu, it makes the screen glitch out and it just goes back to normal.. It doesn't turn off.

However reboot works fine. I think it's the power menu app because rebooter works fine in rom toolbox pro..

Do you mean the power menu mod?

Try taking the framework.jar file out of the theme you are using and push it to your phone.

If that doesn't work, just re flash your ROM. There will be no point in re flashing the power menu mod if the framework.jar doesn't work cause it's basically the same thing.
 
Right now I'm on brokenout with bpmw2 theme.

And I'm talking about the menu that pops up then you hold the power button (reboot, recovery, screenshot) I called it an app because I though it was an apk in system/app or something
 
What have you changed recently? Deleted anything? Moved any icons around on the status bar?

Have you done a process of elimination yet and started with uninstalling the theme to rule it out?
 
Its always possible but I highly doubt its the theme. I didnt alter android.policy.jar at all on that theme (isnt that the one that has the powermenu well that and framework-res). I didnt make any xml edits beisdes what UOT did to the jar and UOT is pretty soild and just image editing on framework-res.apk. Didnt you say you were mix matching parts from different ROMs or on broken out or something now? The theme was made for black plague so if your not on black plague then it could be very much possible. Also build.props could possibly be making it mess up if you have added any lately. Another question. Does it do it on just the power menu or is it happening on all popups? Because the popup itself is global meaning its the same set of instructions and images they just get scaled up or down for whatever need. Framework-res.apk just tells what to put inside the powermenu. Icons and names. so if they arent missing or distorted then that really cant be it anyways. android.policy.jar actually handles the pressability and actions of the items in the power menu. Well to the best of my understanding. But even still if it has been working before and isnt now I really believe unless you tried modding something else then it is conflicted somehow with something else. Maybe an app or like I meantioned before possibly a build.prop or mismatched rom/theme. Sorry for the length but I was kinda thinking out loud. :stupido2:
