Root Update FA19 to FE16

HAR 2 (on fe16 and ext4) had already been released

Unless kouma changed it, Half-Assed version 2 should format the phone to ext4. At least it did after I deodexed and sent it to him.
But I would ask him, I know,he modded some stuff after I sent the stock image to him.

It does. It actually contains nothing from the zip you sent me. It was my backup plan if I couldn't figure out how to deodex on my own though :D

HAR2 is a lot more like stock than before.

What I ended up doing was taking rooted stock, formatted my sd-ext partition as ext4, booted into CWM because it supports both rfs and ext.
mounted both /system and /sd-ext.
did a "cp -a /system/* /sd-ext"
then formatted /system, /data, and /cache to ext4
copied everything back to /system.
Installed KK2.5
then made an Odin image of that.

Then I had to figure out how to copy all the files that weren't symbolic links, and sockets, make myself a list of everything that was, and a list of all the permissions, make the updater-script to make all the needed symlinks, and set all the permissions.

then I tried my hand at deodexing. I used smali and baksmali 1.3.2

everything in there except for the kernel and koumamod is taken directly from the stock system. I applied no hacks or mods whatsoever. I leave that for whoever wants to mess with it. :)

I think that after having put all the work in this go around has helped me to really appreciate what you did for the first version as well as 187Mod and what everyone who has made a full ROM has done in the past.

Hey ya'll, not sure where to post this so I'll post in both Mokee thread and FE16 thread. I've recently encountered an issue with Google Play Store. It FC's anytime I try to download or update any programs.

I'm not sure if it's due to an issue with FE16 or what: I backtracked from Mokee to Lewa and even to FE16 stock usin ODIN and CWM backups and it still hasn't worked properly.

I'm wondering if anyone else has ran into this issue or has any suggestions?

Try going into CWM and select: "wipe cache partition"
 
uhm that didn't work, play store still fcs when anything tries to be downloaded. I cleared data and cache partition and uninstalled then pushed with advanced, same issues.

try wipeing data,cache, all that good stuff. then uninstall then flash this View attachment CWMmarketInstaller.zip sign in and let it update, might work. don't know if i gave this to you or not, did some others and say worked or never heard from people again so must have worked.
 
no go on that either...fixing permissions didnt take as long as it usually does...only a few seconds...wonder why? im using sdext but i moved google play over to system just to make sure

How did your market get on the user app side in the first place:confused::confused::confused:

I'm not sure what to do next...I've completely removed it and used that CWM Installer...no go now it fc's before Market app even opens...not sure how to get a logcat Kouma??

EDIT: gonna ODIN back again and see if I can get Market to work

just work it in steps, odin first and then see if market works. then partition, and see if works, the and so on to see when or if what step messes up or maybe fresh install will work. just save sd and then wipe it all and start from a really fresh start.

also try to odin something different like fa19, fe16, ejo6 and go from there.

if it works then you can build off of that.
 
so far so good...wiped really well...can't have any dingleberries hangin around...FE16 stock was alittle fussy at first but I've got it working...next step will be install Mokee

EDIT: as soon as i installed Mokee went to market and fc's on download again
