***Official HTC Incredible Thread***

So all these sites stating 2 weeks for the release of the HTC Incredible. But all but few will even list the source of the information. I think some of them are to guilt stricken to admit that they have gotten then info from this site. I am going to laugh my ass off when that is wrong and all those sites are exposed for what they are. Republished BS.

Dont get me wrong. I hope to all things holy our phone comes. We all want that phone. But man I would love for these full of crap sites that are republishing forum posts as real info to stumble from there BS. Nothing would pride me more then to find out that the people keeping our hopes high was just plane old full of shit.

I posted the 1st one yeterday on here, good find. I thought it was interesting how it made it sound like the N1 would be part of their line-up!
 
onlykent.com article says will be in their stores in a week.! does this mean a possible week from today launch? I know verizon used to be a friday releaser so maybe that time frame? They announce it tuesday and release thursday nite at midnite?? hopefully this comes true! i need to get out of this env touch before i drive over it..i keep looking for apps but i think theres only 11 and their all atleast 3.99 or higher.

please let this be true! we need to get in out 1yr contracts now to get ready for our lte phones next year at this time!

I still don't think anyone quoting the ROM as 6-6.6GB is up-to-date. NKT confirmed from the documentation that came with the test phone that is has 512MB+8GB of ROM.

This article sources dailytech which is the same insider information we've had for the past few days and nothing official from Verizon. It's amazing how creative internet journalists get with their content. Official confirmation isn't confidential sources inside the company. Official confirmation is a press release on the website.

It's very hit-or-miss depending on the users voice. We have a friend that when she leaves messages, it's always like 95% accurate. Then other people aren't even close. The best is when my wife's family calls and leaves a message in Spanish. It's really fun to see what it thinks folks are saying then. :D

I think I'm gonna start my own blog with the "Incredible is coming in 2 weeks" rumor also. Maybe I can make a few bucks in advertising before this thing comes out. ;)
 
look for the source before you get too pumped... all these secondary sites all have the same look about them, adds everywhere etc.... and somewhere in there you will see the source, in this case dailytech. The better sources (we should actually compile a list for everyone, I only know what i look at) are engadget, boygeniusreport, our own phandroid of course, there are a few other big ones that folks use, i forget which ones...
 
Test man is back up, but the ad in the middle is blank for me. The huge main page ad is gone... Maybe something big?

It's been off and on like that for the past week or two. I think we will hear somehting before we see an update on the testman site. I think from previous phone launches the testman site isn't typically updated until a day or so before the actual launch.

Same for me, I hope that they update it with something worthwhile! March 19th has been a rumored date :D

Edit: just saw that the site has been doing this for awhile now, oh well

I've noticed it happens with some people who either have accents or people who talk too fast.

Generally, most of my visual vms have been spot one except for 1 or 2 words here or there. There is only 1 person's transcript that is horrendously butchered when they leave me a message....
 
I keep getting this result. I must be doing something wrong with the test site.

Good Morning Everyone,
Good reading again from yesterday.
I have a question about the touch screen. When my NE2 was up last Jan. I went to VZW and checked out a couple of the phones (Storm, Imagio, ect.) and thought I liked the Imagio. Went home and looked at reviews on the VZW site and there were a lot of complaints from people saying that when the were making calls, the phone would be turned off from the touch screen touching their cheek.
Is this a problem that HTC has worked out, like maybe it disables the screen during a call but turns it back on in speaker mode?
Just curious because I'm a "talk on the phone all day at work while holding the phone between my head and shoulder guy"...My chiropractor makes a lot of money off of me!
 
eh i dunno if there will be any news today. I think Tuesday is it. Not to be a downer, but yesterday was a struggle lol. I think VZW news for today will be ptt for BB
