Even with the Moto DROID overclocked to like 1.1ghz or 1.2ghz, tests show that its still slower than a snapdragon at 1ghz apparantly.

DROID stock speed is 600mhz if im not mistaken, same as iPhone 3GS and Palm Pre

hahaha i just tested google voice out with my roommate and the voice mail he left me isn't even close to what the transcription says.

is it normally like this?
the clearer people speak, the better it is. if they mumble, forget about it. it won't pick it up clearly.

I really hope we get something new today. With news of other carriers making moves and doing things and VZW keeping quiet it's starting to get frustrating :(

When I try testman.verizonwireless.com most of the window loads fine the section where the deal of the day add is, on the main site, is blank every time on testman. Maybe about to load up a new add???

It has been doing that to me on and off for the last week.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Google Voice an app that allows you to convert voice to Text or e-Mail messages? Are you also able to make VoIP calls with it as well now? Woodraskam made a comment earlier about being able to call a Skype account using it, which is why I ask, but if that's the case then does this also compete directly with Skype?

Alright, to add a bit more confusion:

HTC employer reports that Incredible will be 4.3 AMOLED inch screen (!!!), has a snapdragon (wouldn't confirm speed), 5 mp camera, more will be known on Apr. 1st, and that VZW contracts has the release set for Apr. 17th.

Sounds very Supersonic-ee but person did say Verizon so who knows. Perhaps the only real takeaway is the date...we'll see.

^^^ Thanks.

This is getting so ****ed up. lol So much random info from VZW/HTC. Something just feels off to me. Real scattered and mixed up. People have been mixing up the SS and Incredible from the beginning (except us of course ;)).

VZW is probably eating this *hit up too. They <3 the fact people are getting all antsy over this phone.

Sign, if only it was a 4.3" screen as originally rumored. I would find it odd that they changed the screen from when people were testing it, unless they were releasing two phones to Verizon. That would be ideal for everyone.

I'm starting to question if anyone at HTC or Verizon can keep these phones straight anymore? As it concerns new devices coming to Verizon, it seems that no one can accurately decipher the difference between the Nexus 1, Incredible and now the SuperSonic. WTF!?

Don't get me wrong, if in fact that Incredible is released per the reported specs I, for one, won't be complaining. I just wish we'd get an "official" announcement of the damn thing already so we all knew what we were talking about with certainty.

I highly doubt the spec's are correct, seeing how we have had a few different testers confirm the specs. Unless, of course, the testers are full of $()#. :)

Seriosuly, Even if the phone was officially annouced, but not launched for awhile, I'd at least feel a little better so I knew what was coming. Not this kept in the dark crap.

I have no idea whats going on anymore....4.3"?? really?? The phone in the pics definitely didn't look like it had a 4.3" screen...hmmm...

Good Morning Everyone,
Good reading again from yesterday.
I have a question about the touch screen. When my NE2 was up last Jan. I went to VZW and checked out a couple of the phones (Storm, Imagio, ect.) and thought I liked the Imagio. Went home and looked at reviews on the VZW site and there were a lot of complaints from people saying that when the were making calls, the phone would be turned off from the touch screen touching their cheek.
Is this a problem that HTC has worked out, like maybe it disables the screen during a call but turns it back on in speaker mode?
Just curious because I'm a "talk on the phone all day at work while holding the phone between my head and shoulder guy"...My chiropractor makes a lot of money off of me!

The older style screens that were pressure sensitive needed to be locked in order to limit accidental cheek touches. The newer capacitive touch screens can tell the difference between a touch of the finger and the touch of a cheek. I think I've heard there is some type of proximity sensor that disables the screen when it is close to your face.

sounds disinformation-y to me.

Must be the supersonic or everything we know is wrong.:p

This is highly speculative, gang, but seeing how both the Incredible and SuperSonic were developed for CDMA networks perhaps the braintrust at Verizon pulled an 11th hour switch and told HTC that they want the SuperSonic instead of the Incredible because they had to have the better of the two devices seeing how close together both would be released?

Given Verizon's much larger subscriber base HTC may have capitulated and thus we are now getting the SuperSonic, which will undoubtedly be marketed as the Incredible or some other monicker.
