Most of them arnt important bloatware if your unsure of it dont delete it if you mess up let me know and ill fix it for you :)

i dont delete any of my apps i just restrict the permissions of them and move them to my sd card so if there is an issue the recovery process is sorter :) thanks for the offer to help

thanks but i want to know if any one else has gone through this already or am i the guinea pig
for example can i remove:
activation4005.apk
certinstaller.apk
drmprovider.apk
emode.apk
googlebackuptransport.apk
googlefeedback.apk
googleparnersetup.apkpicotts.apk
sdlog.apk
setupwizard.apk
sprint_installer.nc2100.apk
sprintpermissions.apk
vmdc.apk
vending.apk
vpnsercvices.apk

i noticed that you are developing a rom, apollostar2109. how do you know what apps to remove and what apps to keep?

If you're not sure of what to remove just freeze the app in tb pro, and use phone for awhile to see how it works.

so bottom line you dont know? why do you keep them? i know some on the list i can remove with out it being deleterious.

mholoway that is basically what i do by restricting the permisions and moving the app from system/app. thanks any way tho

I keep them because some may be needed for the phone and im unsure of them i could if i find time test this out and delete all of them but only if i find time

Your welcome, sorry I couldn't be more of a help, make a backup and test, maybe you will be the one to tell us what you can keep. :D

Alarming.apk (Replaced with AOSP Desk Clock)
Camera.apk (Replaced with MIUI Camera)
Email.apk
Filer.apk (Replaced with MIUI File Explorer)
GenieWidget.apk
GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk
MagicSmokeWallpapers.apk
Maps.apk
Music.apk (Replaced with Google Play Music)
SoundRecorder.apk
Sprint_InstallerNC_2100.apk
SprintPermissions.apk
Stopwatch.apk
Street.apk
TaskManager.apk
VisualizationWallpapers.apk
VoiceDialer.apk
VoiceSearch.apk
YouTube.apk

Thats the list of all the apps that have been removed/replaced with smaller alternates on my rom.

Removing anything more will cause issues with the rom

If you've already activated vmdc.apk can be safely removed too. This actually save a little with the battery too.

if you remove the email.apk on the stock rom the camera will not work. idk why. this was the first app i tried to remove.

Could be because the camera wants to verify that email sharing is available?

A dormant app can always return an ok status.

A frozen app can't provide a status and can leave things in the food chain just hanging.

Best luck and always remember to keep up those nandroid backups when working on this. :) ;)
