Help 3D Gaming on HTC EVO V 4G (Gameloft 3D Games)

Going to have to wait for Gameloft to update their list of supported devices or if you're rooted maybe use a modified buildprop like we had to do with the Triumph.
 
build prop.

root the phone (not sure if thats a thing yet.. i dont have my evo 3D yet.) but once you root you can edit the build prop so the Play Store recognizes the phone as a Evo 3D, then all the games will work :D

if root isnt out yet, give it a few days. root WILL fix this problem. its an evo 3d.

its not like on the triumph where we have to edit the build prop to a phone with the same cpu since the triumph isnt as common as the evo

We have had root since before the phone was released.
 
I'm so mad games dont work and everytime I leave a commentit says I havea evo 3d
 
Every game I read on the internet that is compatible with the evo 3d does not work on the evo v or I can I find it to download how about 3d apps there any after that is compatible with this phone

I'm waiting for someone to post a build.prop with the proper values in it, something other than the Evo 3D since it's not fully compatible with some Play Store apps (GTA3 for example).

I've posted asking for help here:

But no one has responded.

I was able to change some values in the build.prop to get the gameloft games working, since the Play Store said they were. I just had to change the values that Gameloft checks after launching the game.
 
Balloon gunner 3d works. It isn't such a great game, but it does show off the potential. Also there's an app called phereo that has stereoscopic pics that people share. It works really well
 
man im have the same problem here A6 wont run after installing say to get a refund i will try call GL and see what they say

you know whats funny is i owned asphalt 6 on my triumph and played it. i downloaded it from the market on my evo and it wouldnt work. then, yesterday i rooted and restore a6 from titanium backup, and it actually worked fine. i just wonder if its possible to start posting like game data backup files for gameloft games that have been launched originally on a device that is compatible, then having your backup app restore the game data backup.

what i mean is
load the apk on a compatible device and let it install/update
use something like this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rerware.android.MyBackupPro&hl=en and make a backup.
then take that backup file, and copy it to your evos sd card in the same directory, and then install that app and restore it.

But I did get my Navigon GPS Software install and running fine
 
I be leave the problem is ICS i talk to support and they gave me a Link after email a copy of my invoice of A6 3D and i installed it and it Foreclose after 2 min play a game and ... so i contacted them again and they said its not compatible with my software and all i told them was my Android OS is ICS 4.0.3 ... There reply was its going to be some time before it will be compatible that there tech have to look in to it ... I think everyone needs to contact there support and make a case about it so they and fix the problem so that they will make the games available in 3d or at least the ones they have now
 
I also purchased Asphalt 6 on my Triumph (where it ran pretty laggy) and was looking forward to playing it on my Evo in 3D but was dismayed when it wouldn't load. I contacted their customer support complaining about the issue and they sent me link to a .jad file (remember those?) that they said would work on my phone. We exchanged several emails where I explained quite clearly that .jad file will not install on Android phones but they kept insisting it would. I gave up with their stupidity in the end.

By searching the web I did manage to find a version of Asphalt 6 3D for the Evo 3D.

I installed and tested it and it mostly runs fine - just a few minor glitches:

- The movie at start up says it can't be played - just dismiss the warning - the game starts after a few seconds of blackness.
- Occasionally some random fine purple lines and boxes appear.
- If you get fed up of 3D and switch to 2D mode in the options it goes wrong and starts displaying everything weird. A workaround for this is press the home button then long press the home button and select the game again - it will come back up in uncorrupted 2D.
 
I would caution anyone from searching and downloading apps from unknown or unauthorized sources. Not only is this a violation of the author's copyright, but for paid apps is piracy. It is also a very serious security risk as many of these files have been modified to include malware.
 
Agree entirely. I would not advocate the method I used unless you have a legitimate right to own the game. In my case I had already legitimately paid for the game.

Even that doesn't make file sharing legitimate. While I can understand the frustration of dealing with an uncooperative developer, it doesn't make this method right. Be very careful with any file from questionable sites.

man be careful you don't screw up your phone bro... If i was you contact them make them aware that there is a problem that needs to be fix and that there is more then 1 person out there having this problem..
 
I have purchased all the following either through the play store or through the gameloft site and have tested what I can. Mind you I rooted my EVO and changed the build.prop to reflect the phone is a PG86100. Also listed some non-gameloft titles I have played.

Asphalt 6 worked with no problems. Played for a while (an hour or so) with no problem.

Backstab HD - Worked with no problems. Played for about 1/2 hour.

Block Breaker 3 Free+ - Worked with no problems. Played for about 15 minutes.

Dangerous - crashes almost immediately.

Dead Space - Played for about 10 minutes with no problem.

Dungeon Hunter 3 - Played for about 1/2 hour with no problem

Diamond Twister 2 - Played for about 1/2 hour with no problem.

Emissary of War - Played for about 10 minutes with no problem.

Eternal Legacy 3d - Starts but shows two images side by side (ie 3d not working) touch locations are off on screen. Managed to turn off 3d mode and game would play for about 5 minutes then crash.

Fantasy Town - Played for about 1 hour with no problem. However when I came back to it it will no longer load - just a black screen and nothing. Killed tasks, rebooted, etc but to no avail.

Gameloft LIVE - played this well over an hour with no problems.

Let's Golf 3d - Played for over an hour with no problem.

Uno Free - PLayed for about 1/2 hour with no problem.

Words Free- Played for more than 2 hours,and other than issues with Ads it works fine.

I have numerous other games already loaded but haven't spent much or any time playing. Will update.
