Help No sound with incoming texts?

All of the sudden, my incoming texts don't make a notification sound. No vibration, no sound, no nothing. Ring volume turned all the way up, didn't change any settings at all. What gives?

Go under your text messages. Make sure your not in a text though. Hit your menu button, settings then scroll all the way down. Select your ringtone.

That doesn't seem accurate.

1. Go to your texts
2. Hit menu button
3. Select Settings
4. Hit Notifications
5. Hit Notification Sound
6. Hit the volume button up (it'll show the volume of the NOTIFICATION SOUND)
7. Select a ringtone if you want or leave at default

This happened to me the other night. A reboot fixed it. Not sure why it happened though as I didn't change anything in the settings.

That is happening to me right now. No notification sound, no vibration. Reboot didn't seem to help, but I think it was a fast reboot. Going to leave it off for a few minutes and see if that helps.you

Also check that you haven't disabled the notification from SMS messages. I didn't like how it showed a preview of each message from my notification screen (swipe down from top of the phone), and the only way to get rid of this preview was to disable SMS Notification. With this disabled you don't get the envelope in the notifiaction area, no LED flash, and no sound plays when you get a message.
