I know I don't post here. Just a lurker but I just happened to know someone that works at Sprint in a capacity that he gets to see all phones and information regarding new phones coming out.

He told me that the SS is being announced today but that it will not be available until June.

Take that for what is it worth and if he is wrong please don't kill me lol.

So, looks like our beloved Incredible is not being announced at CTIA. :(

True, it has been down for a long time. I am assuming an announcment today with the the site being updated almost immediately (if not right before the announcment).
 
I don't think the SS being announced has any correlation with the Incredible other than HTC. Maybe i am just overly optimistic.

Sprint SS not until June makes sense.....but I don't get how you came to the no incredible announcment conclusion just because the SS won't be here until June.

How so? The SS and Incredible couldn't both be announced? I don't think the 2 are related in that respect. Totally possible both phones are announced.
 
Well, on several sites they are reporting the SS is getting released today. Head over to Gizmodo or Engadget or any tech blog really and you'll see. I'm losing hope that our beloved Incredible will be released. :(

There's no mention of the Incredible anywhere on the blogosphere except this thread. :(

DAMNIT everyone! THE 2 AREN'T RELATED! BOTH CAN BE ANNOUNCED TODAY!!!!!!!!!! :cool:

SPRINT AND VZW CAN BOTH HAVE AN ANNOUNCMENT!

If anything, Verizon would want to counter Sprint's announcement of the SS with the incredible.

Also, when the Verizon test man site is down for this long, something big is about to happen and they put the testman site down till the announcement transpires.

doesn't make any sense, even if the SS is not announced, so what? Doesn't mean that the incredible can't be announced they are different phones for different carriers ...
 
honestly... i dont see why people care about sprint. nobody is on that damn network, nobody is going to switch to sprint to buy the phone, why waste an annoucement on it. Given the phone looks cool, but it needs to be on Verizon to really be important! :)

I'm bored with my Droid and I want the Incredible! Hurry up already!
 
There is nothing on the blogosphere because VZW didn't officially say they were announcing the phone.

I think Sprint confirmed yesterday they were going to show it. Or there was some sort of confirmation of them showing off a device, so it makes sense. VZW has been quiet as a mouse. That's the only reason why.

Don't get me wrong. I'm still hopeful that they do, but I know how Verizon likes to disappoint. Plus, we've heard nothing since the finding of that box by Montana Man. I just need something. :(

This is true, but a lot of people are speculating that it's going to be the Skype over 3G deal or something of that sort.
 
anyone have an idea when this stuff is supposed to start (CTIA)?
im following engadget but...i cannot do anything until i know when things will begin! :)
