Anyone else getting a message pop up when opening google wallet saying it needs a security update? I am updated to the latest version in the play store.

Hmm I don't know if I should click the update or not... What concerns me is the fact that I have the latest build that's in the play store.

Well I reset google wallet and I no longer get that message.

Now if I can figure out why the screen stays on while charging (another thread) I'll be set.

I got that message (I'm on Verizon), and made the mistake of updating. After that, when I open wallet, its unable to connect to my account and get my Google pre-paid card balance. I might have to try uninstalling and re-installing.

I side loaded an app called market enabler. Forget where I found it. Let's you fake having a GSM phone, and makes wallet available in Google play on your phone. Now, even in the computer it says Google wallet is compatible with my Verizon galaxy nexus

I would try uninstall - resintall

I actaully got the message awhile back, updated and had no issues.

I forgot about this after getting home from work, and when I checked it this morning, it was showing my prepaid card balance again. So it might have just been a connection issue with getting the balance.

I do remember, the area I was in yesterday when I had the problem was going down to 3G, so it could have been a signal problem.

Update: Over the weekend, I was able to test it out and it worked at a Rite Aid. Later, when I was adding more funds, I noticed it now asks for SS# and address, so that might be the extra security measure from the update because I don't remember that from before.

So I can now confirm that my Google Wallet and NFC still work. Wish I could say the same for a majority of the paypass terminals I try it on...
