Root Donations to bring another dev onBoard!

Well here we go again guys. We have another dev who is willing to come onboard and we have a great chance to get a phone for them for super cheap. We need 120 dollars to get PlayfulGod a phone. So anyone who is feeling generous then please donate what you can. Every little bit helps.

Very kewl guys n gals. Yea having a Spec would greatly aid me in what I am already doing behind the scenes for the spec n lg's in general, along with be able to do a custom stock ROM of my own like mt's BO.

Donations will be handled thru admn81, so please make sure to hit up the donation link he posts up as he is going to use chipin to track it all for those who like to keep taps on everything. ;)

Hey guys, I know we have asked alot of the community in terms of donations and you all have helped out EVERY SINGLE TIME :) How awesome is that? The number of developers and their talents are growing and if you ask me we have a pretty damn awesome developer team going on here. Yes I realize nothing has been released yet, but continue to be patient and we will be rewarded with an incredible array of roms when they get everything working.

I have pm'd bmacmx121 to get everything taken care of with the sale of his Spectrum for $110 which is very generous of him to sell it at that price, as he could easily get more money selling it elsewhere.

$45 left..I can throw in $10 myself...would be more but kinda tight on funds right now.
 
Wow awesome guys! I love my spectrum and really wanted a developer to get it, thank you guys for the help! I'm very excited to see the new roms on ics.
 
Wow! I just PM'd admin81 telling him I would send the phone out before the money was raised because of how fast it was getting raised. Looks like I didn't beat the clock! Waiting on admin81 to PM me back some information about shipping and the phone will be off!

To PlayfulGod:
The phone is rooted with BO 3 on it right now, would you like me to just erase all of my wifes stuff off of it (factory data wipe etc.) and leave it rooted?

I've shipped many things and you can do standard ground shipping for less than 10 and it will only take a few days to get anywhere in the lower 48. I've always used standard ground shipping when I order things online and it never takes more than a few days to get to me.

So 13 should cover standard ground no problem.

And another thing. I order some hardware parts for a PC build I was doing back in 2007 and paid almost 30 dollars for next day air shipping and it took a week to get to me. Never again will I throw my money away on next day air. Talk about pissed.

The worst thing was, every time I ordered from that same company and used standard ground, it always got to me within 3 days.
 
thanks again to everyone involved! this community never ceases to amaze me with its willingness to donate and that's so incredibly badass! I'm going to send ALL of the donated funds to bmac and he can decide what to do regarding shipping options.
 
anything other than standard ground is ******ed expensive. A cell phone should ship anywhere in the lower 48 for $10 or less on ground. I think 5 days is the longest transit time. I deal with ups on a daily basis at work.

yea just wipe data will be good.

And to everyone involved, WoW, I think the Esteemers have some competition on best community n Dev support lol. And Thank you, I will do my best for ;)
 
It is a phone, not a tv.

Put it in a bubble mailer (take the battery out of the phone first, in case something happens and it explodes. You want to stick the battery in a freezer zip lock, rolled up and taped) and go to the post office, then mail it flat rate priority in the envelope for $4.95, gets it there in 1-3 days, and the priority mail is managed separately from standard mail, so one can hope it is handled better as well.

Also, in the USA anything shipped overnight by any shipping company is guaranteed. If it did not get there by the agreed time (since places have day delivery and afternoon delivery, overnight shipping), you file a claim showing your receipt and the delivery time and they at least refund your shopping costs. Some businesses (the place you ordered from) also give discounts on future purchases, even though it is not always their fault.
