Are they going to adapt CDMA to work with SIMs before LTE, or only once LTE comes out? If ya can't say it's cool, but this is interesting (and extremely...OT...but oh well).
 
hey all... long time lurker (been lurking since the beginning) and 1st time poster (felt compelled to post today)

I'm so excited for this announcement as i'm sure many of you are. Is it just me or does anyone else feel like it's not going to be called the incredible?

Ok, glad it's working for everyone else -- found a workaround in the form of the "show printable version" option under thread tools. Unfortunately, that's not a workaround for my overwhelming excitement about this phone.
 
First time caller, long time lurker, great topic, love the phone. I figured it was time to contribute what I could.

I talked to the Verizon account rep for my company and he told me the Incredible is worth waiting for and the release date is mid-April. Sorry its not what we all want to hear but a few more weeks of patience may be in order.
 
The one thing I will say regardless of when the Incredible comes to market that this seems to be the year that Android has come of age, as just look at the number of phones being announced for the platform. I was checking this Kyocera unit out on Engadget's site just a moment ago and thought it looked great. There's a ton of reasons to be excited if your an Android fan, as this seems to be becoming the smartphone O.S. of choice among the major hardware manufacturers.
 
Trust me - I'm just as excited as anyone over this phone! I'm on cloud 9 today! Sure there are doubters out there. But you know what? There are just TOO many signs.

1) Anonimac is saying the same things.

2) NKT has predicted a mid-April release for a while now which would time nicely with an announcement today.

3) One of you here, apang, I think, trusts his sources 100% that it'll be released on the 27th - again, timing out perfectly with an announcement today.

4) It's CTIA's biggest day - the Superbowl for Wireless Industries in this country.

5) This thing has been kept under amazing secrecy - for a reason designed to kick the competition's butt.

6) A box shows up here - on a SUNDAY - directly from HTC.

7) Another package showed up to one of your contacts here yesterday - kcoan, I think?

8) VZW people are finally admitting that they know about it.

9) The entire web has reported a "2 week" time frame.


We're getting our phone! And it WILL BE INCREDIBLE!!

Hey when you say a box showed up "here", where is here? I haven't read all of the threads so I missed that part.

Want some more possible solutions, Announced today (check), Available online on the 27th (check), available in stores on the 17th (check mate)
