Help HTC Evo 4G LTE OTA update rolling out. (s-off/rooters do not take the OTA)

I heard from a sprint store employee that there will be an OTA Fix/update soon but they couldn't give me anymore info. This was about a week and a half ago. Anyone hear anything further about when this fix will happen?

I haven't heard anything about it yet.

Untill you hear something official, you can't really trust what the people at the sprint store say. :D There are usually some pretty fast OTAs on newly released phones as they iron out bugs, so its probable that we'll get one fairly soon.

I know lots are having trouble with overly aggressive multitasking, so I would guess the next OTA takes care of that.

Be patient. I don't mind waiting a little longer if that means the maintenance update would address more issues .

Did anyone get an update yesterday? I turned my phone on from sleeping and it said update complete but have no idea what updated. Any ideas?

This update (version 1.22.651.3) addresses:
Google security updates
Wifi disconnect issue
Time zone issue
Google Wallet fix
Side loaded video pause issue
Random power cycling issue
Pioneer Bluetooth Car Kit connection issue
Gallery app crash
Calendar reminder (all day even time) issue

As seen on XDA -

How about the mishandled memory issue? Or the related killing Sense issue? :(

you wont find those answers here. send a ticket to HTC and let them know about it.

i am happy the BT issue for in car streaming has been addressed. no more workarounds to do.

As for other issues like memory management being addressed - a quick glance suggests to me that they've solved kernel panics in a few places, and that's not a small thing, that tends to be rather impressive and explains why this is the first Evo taking so long for its first update.

We'll simply have to assess what other changes have been introduced - or which side effects from stated changes - before being able to say if other things are fixed or left alone.

This afternoon when I was in the middle of typing a message I had a PRL update pushed to my phone, after that I manually checked for updates and that's how I found the OTA update.
