So what about this Mysterious BOX that Mountain man was talking about....WHAT IS IN THE BOX?

Is there still another hidden window at the HTC booth?

would suck if just advertising materials for BOGO eris droid crap or even n1 promo crap!!!

but I do remember him saying rep would be by Tuesday Wednesday which would be on par with maybe an announcement tomorrow?

The funny thing is, I have three VZW people asking ME what happened today and WHY the Incredible didn't drop. They all know it exists - no one's denying anything to me about it being out there - it's just very bewildering to everyone as to what the Verizon execs must be thinking right now. You can't go into the Superbowl and expect to win by just kicking field goals all day. You've gotta have that big TD!

One text that I did get from my manager friend at the VZW store simply said, "It's Sprint's day today. We'll have ours." While that sorta makes sense, you also have to think of it from HTC's standpoint. HTC is the biggest up-and-coming player in the mobile device field and it's nothing but advantageous for them to have their products announced and drawn out slowwwwly - giving adequate time for each of their new devices to soak up the media's spotlight. If I ran HTC, I'd sure as hell want to save my very best, most elite device for last - to blow the doors off the place, and to leave the public amazed and wondering what we might have coming out by next year's CTIA - no doubt about it. I could be wrong, but I bet the rest of you would as well. Tomorrow's a new day - I'm still as stoked as ever! It's just half time!

Was just going to post that it probably is pushed back until tomorrow (like was stated before) to let the red headed step child phone, the EVO get its day on the stage, then the Incredible blows the roof off the place. I can see it now

"Similar specs to the Evo that was announced yesterday, but with the Verizon Network backing the Incredible, this phone is the one to have"

I love it... I leave work, and we're on page 250. I come back to the computer about an hour and a half later, and we're on page 256. "Whoah," I think, "Something major must have happened... I can't resist, must check the last page before catching up.... FUUUUUUU!!!!!" I've read every post in this thread so far, but I'm going to skip those 6 pages.

I think we're all a little too close to the subject to see clearly, but I'm beginning to see that whether the Incredible is released or not is really a pretty minor thing in the grand scheme. They've always had the "best network" and crap phones. No reason for that to really change now, now is there? They'll continue to do a land office business because 99.9% of the people out there don't know about, nor could they care less about the Incredible or having another top-tier phone. Droid, Eris, Devour. Pretty comprehensive lineup for normal people.

Personally, I think the Incredible is still coming. And if it's 90% of what it's rumored to be, I'll be getting one. But thanks to Sprint, I've made my peace (and my decision) if it doesn't.

was thinking along those lines myself.

I totally agree. Sprint needs all the advantages they can get. Big Red probably called them and said, "its okay. Go ahead we can wait. Cause when we drop its gonna be like a midget standing infront of a steamroller." Your Fuc@#d!

Look, the HTC Reps probably told the Verizon guys that they were releasing the Evo with Sprint on Tuesday and that it would make more sense to roll the Incredible on Wednesday when it can get more "splash". Verizon obviously decided (rightfully so) to push back a day......if you were the decision maker for Verizon you'd have made the same decision. Besides, I bet the HTC Rep shows up at a certain Verizon store in Montana tomorrow to open a certain box synchronized with the announcement in Vegas......In fact, I bet the HTC reps not in Vegas are fanning out to Verizon stores around the country to open "boxes" (of course not EVERY store, they don't have that many reps!). Everybody CHILLLLL.

Fingers crossed for the 30 day return policy to work!

Was in a local store a couple days ago and they were handing out fliers announcing starting April 10 2010 they will be charging a $35 restocking fee for all phones returned within the 30 days.

What is the possibility that an announcement may come at a later time this week?

It could just be that Verizon doesn't want to share the stage and media attention with Sprint.

Look at it from HTC's perspective. Announce 2 great devices on the same day and have nothing for the next 2 days, OR announce a great device on day 1 and then another one on day 2 after the uproar about the first device dies down.
With so many folks hopes now hanging on a day 2 announcement, can anyone recall what earth-shattering news came forth from day 2 of last years CTIA? I bet whatever it was paled in comparison to day one.

Oh, but we got Skype! WOO-HOO!!!

The Verizon-branded Nexus One named the Incredible is announced to be available by the end of this month, according to Engadget.
According to the report, the HTC Incredible will feature a DRAM of 512MB on a Snapdragon CPU, an 8 megapixel camera and powered by 1,300 mAh battery.
The dimensions of the Incredible is almost identical with that of Google’s Nexus One and both phones are made by HTC.

whats up with this?? any one posted this already??

I still have hope that something will be announced over the next two days. Now if I hear Duke Nukem Forever is being bundled with the phone...then ya I am going to look at another phone.

This is insane, everyone posting the negative and cynical comments....Like many regulars have said in the past couple of pages, tomorrow is another day, lets not rush to blame or flame anyone...and just wait till tomorrow.

Sure Verizon, roll out your device on day 2, that way all the people you intended to show off the phone too are no longer on the conference floor, they're all out shootin craps and yankin on the one-armed bandits because they got all the good info on day one. Way to go VZW. lol

You know what's going to be sweet? All the people jumping ship for the HTC EVO. While the rest of us steady and faithful hang out with our Incredibles, they'll be waiting until summer to get a phone with equal specs!

Steady and slow wins the race.

At this point I'm half expecting that the Incredible will be released today and all of us will be too busy complaining here in this forum to notice :)

I'm with you on this. Screw Sprint and their spotty faux-G network!

Yeah i'm not worried about this announcement at all. the way i see it, HTC is taking their sweet time simply because they can. EVO is HTC....Incredible is HTC....so what difference does it make if it's announced 1st day or 2nd day or last day? you all know it's coming..just gotta be able to stomach through the wait and when you get the phone it will allllll be worth it... I hope they don't change the Incredible to some dumb name...I for one like Passion as the new name
