Ah my bad, I accidentally chopped the file sizes off.

The splash1 size does make sense. If we assume the screen res will be 800x480, you should get a filesize (assuming 16 bpp), of 768000 bytes. Also, I believe Windows uses the 1000 bytes = 1KB notation.... so 768KB.

Can you drop into a command line and see what the reported size is? It should be 768000. From there, we can try to reconstruct the image...

Does this mean that VZW needs these roms to load onto the new incredible phones that we will be getting? Which maybe means the stores will be getting them after this download?

Windows uses 1024B = 1KB, therefore it's 786,432 bytes.

In addition, the system.img does list the Incredible and the Supersonic in it.

If this is the shipped ROM (doesn't appear to be, normally it would say SHIPPED or SHIPPING at the end, and this mentions that is has no drivers), this is what would be on the phones when they ship from the factories to Verizon. Verizon doesn't put ROMs on the phones themselves (they can upgrade them though).

Scepterr, the guy who posted the link to the ROM on twitter, is Max Krivonos. I googled him and his facebook page says he's employed by T-Mobile. Not quire sure how he'd get his hand on a ROM for Verizon, but figured I'd throw it out there.

No the phones that Verizon will have will already have the latest ROM already on it, but with new future ROM's they would be available on Verizon's or HTC's site, most likely VWZ's though.

I guess it does exist. LOL! nubz!

I really am obsessed. I'm watching tv, turned to my computer and just hit F5, but I was on a different site.... (thinkin' there wasn't much of a reason to refresh the Easy Drop Biscuits recipe page) Dork!
