Root a lil help on Unlocked with updated version

I did update my EVO LTE to the new update about 2 weeks ago, :(. Should of came here first. well this is my issue: I was able to Unlock it and get to Team Win Recovery v2.2.8. I did not know what to do with that. So I exited out. Prior to that I tried rooting my EVO from RegawMOD EVO 4G LTE Rooter x64... Well it only unlocked it did not root it. after the final second reboot an error showed something with not able to do RW. And that was the end of it. Also I did download latest version about 2 weeks ago for the update on EVO. Also on the boot menu is shows "Tampered" in black letters on top of "Unlocked" in red letters...any suggestions. I can still make calls and my phone works still. Thank you, I really appreciate it

if after reading you still do not understand the basic terms please do ask and I will explain each one.

What was your purpose of rooting? What were you trying to accomplish

Witch TWRP should I download there's a few of them to download. Where can find the downloaded ones that I downloaded from goo manager

Goo Manager, menu, Install OpenRecoveryScript - will update you to the proper latest for this phone, 2.2.0.

Don't know about the rest of your question, sorry.

The instructions direct from the TeamWin website:
Download the GooManager app from either location:

Install the app and open it. Tap menu then hit Install OpenRecoveryScript. Tap Yes. Verify that the filename displays your device's code name and hit Yes. The file will download and your device will reboot and install the recovery automatically.

Ok I did install it but it did not reboot on its own. Should I be able to root now. Thank you all have been of great help :-)
 
I did see that on July 19th, 2012 XDA O.M.J started creating MODs for 1.22.651.3 OTA. Where can I get it. I clicked on a link but it was giving me some other download with tool bar and all. Am I not reading something right?
 
In the development section on xda there is a thread for it with a flash able zip. I just checked it out the other day so I know it works
 
im having the same problem as the OP.. everything was good until i got the same error message at the end.. the phone still works fine but now i cant text but i can still recieve. anyway i can fix this? my software version is 1.22.651.3 710rd

Have you tried a PRL/Profile update? It came sometimes clean up things like that.
