Root Quattrimus CM9 beta seems stable, just don't over clock lol

Things have settled with this ROM for me, but as long as I don't over clock. As soon as I turn it up to 480 and 729 or higher it freezes and soft boots to the lock screen. Any suggestions to allow this great rom with overclocking?

Try a different kerenel. There is one developed by drew walton when Quatrimus first came out. Can't remember it's name though. Don't know if it will even help.

Maybe you could run down everything you wiped and formatted so I can see if you missed something which would cause residual data to corrupt the ROM.

I use obijohn's update_wiper_1.3.zip just before installing the ROM and Gapps to be sure I get a clean install.

Is this any different than Leslieanne's wiper? I always wonder if I have a truley clean install.

obijohns was the first and only one I have needed so I had no need to try another (if it ain't broke don't fix it).

I'm wiping data / factory reset line, and the cache / dalvik cache lines 3 times each in cwm blue recovery. Is that sufficient?

Where can I download either of those wipers, and how do you execute them? Is it installing a .zip just like when flashing a new rom?

They are in the simplified root guide. It is exactly like flashing a rom. Just install zip and let it do it's thing.

@Andyopie150 - I sent you a pm. I'm just trying to figure out how others are successfuly using over clock settings on their cm9 and aokp quattrimus roms, yet I can't seem to over clock it at all. My backside IHO CM7 overclocked to 806 and 480 with no issues ever.

Whoa!, slow down grasshopper quattrimus wasn't built in a day.
Give your phone a few days to adjust to your new rom.
Everything will start to run smoother, then you can overclock it.

I hear ya but I'm just getting frustrated. Lol. Still having a lot of freeze scenarios. Is Cold as Ice stable?

Don't qoute me on this, but i think cai is for the optimus s. And not stable. When i first flashed backside there were alot of force closures, after about a week it was smooth, I could overclock to 480min andmax as high as i wanted, just bad battery stats!

It can be run on the V, but you have to be willing to make a few changes to get it straightened out.

ICS was kinda a let down. It freezes on us becauze, who knows why. Even on Official releases, it freezes. Jelly Bean should've been ICS.

If you need overclocking, I don't recommend ICS. Ivs been overvlocked forever, so I'm use to the speed. :p

Of course brotherswing's CPU is perfect, as is my used one which I'm currently using as an mp3 player until the current one wears out. If ever.

Just adding my $0.02-I'm overclocked 480/787 smarta$$v2 with zero problems so far. (granted, 'so far' right now is like, an hour or 2-I'll update if things change)
