Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

I'm not a coffee person either! *high five* I drink energy drinks, haha. They're awful for you, but I just hate the taste of coffee.

I LOOOOVE the taste of coffee...if it's GOOD coffee. Some coffees - especially the flavored ones - are downright gross.

Alright, since everyone has had their morning coffee, let me remind you all that it's National Tequila Day!!!!

:D
We have plans to hit up our local great Mexican joint. They're doing some fun specials for tonight with some rare tequila from a small, family run distillery in Mexico. Can't wait! I love tequila, probably my favorite spirit. Just wish it was a bit cheaper for the good stuff.

I'll leave the celebrating of this holiday to the rest of you. Me + Tequila usually = vomit in my hair.

I guess I should say I'll only eat a breakfast sandwich that has egg that isn't fully cooked so that when you bite into it the yolk runs all over.

You know what it is? I just don't do bitter things. Too much of a sweet tooth. I don't drink coffee, or bitter beers either. Most beers really. I'm a Bud-Miller-Coors kind of dude. :p I'd drink Mike's Hard if I wouldn't get judged by everyone. (Go ahead, you all can judge me.. haha)

I love IPAs and Bitter Beers - so delicious.

I am with Razor... I think some people's bitter buds are stronger than others. I can't do ales, only lagers, my favorites being Yuengling and Stella.

Pup - my coffee is not bitter at all, but I wouldn't call it sweet.

Regarding breakfast. Love any and all kinds. I splurge and get the 2 for $3 at mcdonalds each friday, and have one sandwich that morning, and one the next.

Yeah, definitely can't do stouts. I might be the only person in history to go visit the Guinness factory in Dublin.. and not drink a Guinness. Haha.

Ok, I am not THAT hardcore, I would probably choke one down. I also make a point if someone buys me a drink, I must drink it out of courtesy.

I don't know how I've gotten by without being sucked into the coffee world as an engineer either Anti. I drink 1, ONE, Dr. Pepper every morning and that's my only drink other than water 95% of the time. Every now and then I'll drink a glass of tea in addition to my daily Dr. Pepper as well.

Regarding breakfast....breakfast rocks! I would eat a sausage biscuit every day of my life if my wife would let me. She told me I had to quit though because she didn't want me dying of a heart attack at 40. I now limit that to once a week most of time time. The rest of the time I eat oatmeal for breakfast. We ocassionally do breakfast for dinner as well. It's really both of our favorite meals, but we really try to limit going all out with it. All time favorite is chocolate gravy and biscuits, a couple of sausage patties, and some scrambled eggs :)

Is there any other way to eat an egg?

I don't like bitter coffee, but I do like strong coffee. And no judgement from me for drinking Mike's Hard...I drank a few of those the other night myself (the black cherry ones). And as far as beer, I'm a cheap American beer kinda girl too. Shock Top is about as fancy as I get. I can't do those dark foreign beers. I don't want to feel like I need to chew my beer.:puke:

Bottom shelf of my main fridge - need to get my mini fridge here for more beer.

Wachusett is brewed not far from where I live. I'm surprised you get it down there. I really like their Country Ale. I've tried that blueberry once, tastes just like blueberry pie (which isn't my thing, I like my beer to taste like beer).

It started making its way down here recently and I was very surprised. I am a big fan of all their beers though, their IPA is delicious.

Woot on Festina Peche. One of the few DFH beers I like. Made a big effort to have it available at our restaurant.

I love the Festina Peche - its really delicious. DFH is probably me #1 or #2 favorite brewery.

I also like Grolsh and Yuengling, but distribution for that hasn't made it to MA yet. I have to drive into CT to get it, so that is more of an occasional treat.

Ha ha ha, it figures.... I popped in and out of the pre-release thread, was first in line at my local Verizon for the GNex release, have been lurking here ever since, and the beer topic is what's going to get me to come out of the woodwork! It took me a little bit to work my way off of the light American lagers, but now I'm full speed ahead with craft brews, imports, and making my own homebrew. While I can't match Stigy's love of "120-Minute by the pint", I still marvel at how they stuffed that much flavor into that beer! I think the way I started to expand my beer palate was when I started homebrewing. I had worked my way up to ambers and some stouts at that point, but once I saw how many styles there were I had to do plenty of "research" on what I wanted to make next! A couple of coworkers and I started a beer appreciation club recently. Each week one member brings in either something they really like and want to share or something they've never had and want to try. So for an extra six pack a month we get to try a bunch of beers we may have not taken a gamble on on our own.

As towards more of the phone-relevancy side of things I haven't gone too crazy yet with my Nexus. I've mostly just stuck with appearance mods with Nova Launcher. I rooted and flashed a couple of times with my Incredible (also picked up on Day 1). But about a year after I had to resuscitate it from forgeting it in my pocket while sailing at the lake, it finaly needed to go. Luckily the Nexus was right around the corner (and then the other corner.... no, no, the NEXT corner....)

Anyway, I figured it was about time I said hi. So, Hi.

Welcome to the Watering Hole chemmaan!:)

I have my GNex rooted but it is still bone stock. I've been playing with my N7's so I haven't had a chance. I will probably do it this weekend though as I want to further refine my Google Now cards and I am out and about with my phone where my N7 sits at home.

Great way to introduce yourself. Welcome to the Hole

Hi and welcome, Chemmaan! :D

I, too, was a blissful Nexus user... until I wasn't blissful anymore. And that happened when Verizon bean-dipped around on the 4.0.4 update.

I unlocked her, rooted her and ROMmed her with Jelly Bean and have never looked back. If you're comfortable with the rooting process on DInc, the Nexus would be a piece of cake. And Jelly Bean is oh-so-worth the effort!
