Can I install a leak without root

Yes. No root required to install the leak.

I just did this on Saturday. I've put it thru its paces the past few days without any noticeable problems. It seems very stable.

Calls are loud and clear. 4G is strong. Bluetooth pairs with the stereo in the truck. GPS works just as before.

Battery life, for me, is the same as with GB.

So far no I haven't found a reason not to have installed this leak.

Don't forget to run the install twice. I'm not sure why you need to do this, but most of the leak installs that have problems get "sovled" by running the instilation twice.

All this means is that you go back through and run all the steps a second time from the boot screen.

I'm too tired of waiting. I downloaded the latest leak. Renamed the file according to directions, then holding down the VOL & pressing the power button, I keep going in circles not loading the update. It seems to scan the zip file but yet says no image. Strange.... Not sure what's going on here. The phone starts up ok, just can't get the leak to install......

If a new(er) update is sent OTA then your phone will update or you can flash the newest update just like you can with the latest leak.

Installing the leak is not the same as rooting your phone. You are not gaining Super User privileges nor are you installing a ROM that was not developed by the HTC team.

FWIW this is the leak I flashed

Everything seems ok so far. I don't do as much with the phone as others might. But so far so good. Who knows when they will release the OTA, and I was tired of waiting. I got the phone in December, and like others assumed the phone would be updated by now. Pretty sour about this whole delay with no communication from HTC or Verizon.

I've been running it for 2 months now, the only problem I have is if I launch the GPS and select Google as my default navigation when I come back later it will ask me to set a default navigation again, it also does this when I'm switching between the standard browser and Google chrome browser.

Sent from my busa!

mach - and anyone else - where are you guys gettinjg your leaked ICS from ?? And how do you know you can trust the code now on your phone?
It would be easy to post a leak after tweaking it to do anything you want it to on someones phone. Know what I mean?

That being said i'm on my 2nd rezound due to them having data and email issues, verizon is no help and if there's a very trusted source i might like to give it a try if it will possibly fix some of my BS issues...

Well I got the leak up and running. I didn't have that many things on the phone as I wiped it the other day. However, I didn't loose my photos or music. I thought they would be gone but no.

You do not lose anything stored on your SD card... the internal memory card, however, will be wiped in the process.
