I was ready to root this weekend but finally got my hands on the N7. I actually was running Liquid a while back and I honestly don't remember why I went back to stock.

I popped in and out of the pre-release thread, was first in line at my local Verizon for the GNex release, have been lurking here ever since, and the beer topic is what's going to get me to come out of the woodwork! It took me a little bit to work my way off of the light American lagers, but now I'm full speed ahead with craft brews, imports, and making my own homebrew. While I can't match Stigy's love of "120-Minute by the pint", I still marvel at how they stuffed that much flavor into that beer! I think the way I started to expand my beer palate was when I started homebrewing. I had worked my way up to ambers and some stouts at that point, but once I saw how many styles there were I had to do plenty of "research" on what I wanted to make next! A couple of coworkers and I started a beer appreciation club recently. Each week one member brings in either something they really like and want to share or something they've never had and want to try. So for an extra six pack a month we get to try a bunch of beers we may have not taken a gamble on on our own.

As towards more of the phone-relevancy side of things I haven't gone too crazy yet with my Nexus. I've mostly just stuck with appearance mods with Nova Launcher. I rooted and flashed a couple of times with my Incredible (also picked up on Day 1). But about a year after I had to resuscitate it from forgeting it in my pocket while sailing at the lake, it finaly needed to go. Luckily the Nexus was right around the corner (and then the other corner.... no, no, the NEXT corner....)

Anyway, I figured it was about time I said hi. So, Hi.

Yeah, but you're of the gender that can drink Mike's Hard without taking any flak. :p Well said about the dark beers, I totally agree.
 
Okay...gotta jump in now...I am a mostly vodka drinker...so I like my Smirnoff ices....but I do definitely like red wine, syrah and Pinot, and for beers I tend towards the darker lagers....shock top is great, but I actually am drinking a lot of Black Star right now, and our local breweries have a different beer selection every week...3 breweries within a half hour drive...and recently made my first home brew: a lemon harvest IPA...but will see how it turns out this weekend before we decide to make another batch or not.

I had fried green tomatoes for the first time Saturday night. They were delicious. Add another southern food to my will eat with gusto list. :)

Haha..figured something would be said....and I agree. However, with 3 kids, I am not usually allowed a TURI on the rocks every night...only when I have a cigar. Which would be every other weekend.....so in between I can have a Smirnoff ice instead. Or a beer or a glass of wine...wow sounds like I drink a lot....except I usually have a drink every week....sometimes wish I had more...like after a day like today.

Rant: bosses who think "digital" work is scary...everything must be done with paper and pen..../rant

Welcome to our world, funny the topics that get this group so chatty and bring out the lurkers. As for me, don't drink at all. Love good strong robust coffee, un-sweat tea, water and milk with dinner. Not a huge breakfast fan, eggs cannot be runny, yuck, yuck, yuck. Captain and BB, you two are so....tame, I am getting worried about your remarkable restraint. Lol

I thanked your portrait screenie from earlier as I had to view it on my phone. I like the landscape view here too. Looks great, and I'm just talking from a UI standpoint. I don't get the point counting WW thing at all, just saying its a clean and neat layout.

Oh this isn't the landscape layout, but it will in fact be similar to this. This is just the three tabs side by side so you can see them all at once.

Doh, now I see the dock bar below the three shots. Like I said, they look great although I would certainly defer to users opinions.

I know, that makes me so very sad. He was such an integral part of my childhood. I NEVER missed The Jeffersons. He and Marla Gibbs taught me the fine art of sarcasm at a very tender age.

:puke:Jaeger truly does trigger my gag reflex. My dear friend thought she could make me like it more by making Jaeger Bomb jello shooters. It's bad enough when you shoot it....but when you have to chew Jaeger...that just makes me do one of those full body shivers.

Beer: I love it all! No, seriously, never tried a beer I didn't like.

No tequila for me tonight but the wife just made authentic tacos down to the last detail. Which reminds me...gotta go back inside and finish the dishes since she is giving Cooper a bath.
