Because a phone like the devour appeals to the masses of uninformed people.

for example...parents buying phones for their 13 year old girls who need constant access to facebook and myspace and john mayers twitter.

a phone with specs like the incredible appeal to people like us on this forum mostly
 
the devour ad isnt even that big....its just one of a couple that scroll through. Could easily be replaced by the Incredible and just moved down the line.
 
I figured it out, Verizon is not letting us down, they are just keeping our expectations of them.. they have a bad ass phone in the works BUT they have to wait for everyone else in the market release a phone that is equal or slightly better before they release theirs or that would shock the sh*T out of all of their customers to have a better phone than the other networks..

psst what the hell were we thinking!!!!

so hurry up sprint att and tmobile we would like to finally get the incredible on verizon!!!!
 
Anybody know a link to e-tech award winners- i am still trying to figure out whether or not the evo/ss was/is the embargoed device...
