I have now had my TF700T for all of four days. I have it fully configured and have re-installed more than 400 apps (be cautious of EA apps as they don't want to download their data files). It runs great and I am happy with everything except the battery life. I will be even happier when the keyboard dock arrives. Even after studying the user manual, I still have a few unanswered questions:
  • There are now three operating modes: Power Saving, Balanced, and Performance. While it is obvious what the general purpose of each mode is, I cannot find any detailed descriptions. For example, what gets turned off or cranked down in Power Saving Mode?
  • What is the capacity of the microSD card slot in the tablet? I have a 32 GB card installed now, just as I used to have in my TF101. It works fine, but could I use something bigger?
  • What is the capacity of the SD card slot in the keyboard dock?
Thanks in advance to anyone who responds.

Don't quote me on this but i believe powersaver mode under clocks the processor. I do know that the microsd slot only supports 32gb card, damn it sucks. Wish i could throw a 64gb card in there too. The sd card slot on the dock i am not sure about. I'm sure someone will fill in the gaps for you.

Many Android phones also say that the max capacity for the SD card is 32GB, but plenty of people have successfully put in a 64gb card with no issue (me included). I haven't verified personally with this tablet, but I'm seeing online that people are having success with a 64gb sd card on the Infinity...

I don't know with the microSD card. They have the same discussion going on in the TF201 forum, and apparently some have gotten specific 64gb cards to work. I don't have one handy for experimentation, so I can't say. But I bet our model supports whatever the TF201 supports at the very least.

I remember reading a review of the TF201 that said power savings ran on 1 core, balanced 2 cores and performance all 4 cores. Or something like that. And then there is actually a 5th core when the tablet is idle.

Happily, I have been able to confirm that the keyboard dock will take a SDXC card with capacity (at least in theory) up to 2 TB.

My keyboard dock arrives Thursday.
