Root Good custom ROMs ?

I just would like to know if there are any really good custom ROMs for EVO4g because im getting tired of MIUI Cm7 and it's been having issues lately and i just want a new ROM :confused:
 
I've checked out the ROM and it looks cool and fast an all, however it says that it is meant to work with a Mason kernel. (which i do not have) How would i go about flashing this? should i just flash it like any other old ROM?

Mason kernel is already baked in. I flashed it like any other ROM. They suggest to partition your SD card too (which I did not do).
 
Decks Reloaded is the best out there. But even the best can get boring in root land. I would try as alternatives

DigitalKarma 777 - this is the best Sense ROM out there IMHO. The performance blows me away.

MikG - This should honestly be the HTC Stock ROM it's so good and stable.

Evo Classic by Tommy Tomatoe - Super fast, super customizable.

Team DIRT - Paranoid Android - It's an ICS Rom (so no 4G and no front camera, if that's important to you) but it's super fast and smooth, and gives you the ability to put certain apps and settings into tablet mode or change the DPI settings. Kind of advanced I guess, but very, very cool and customizable. It's my favorite ICS rom.

Last, PapaSmurf's CM9 port. Big update coming soon which is going to be pretty dang cool. More of a stock CM9 rom with some tweaks.

In addition to those above, Energy ROM is a nice smooth Sense ROM. No 4G but everything else works great.
 
+1 on anything by Team D.I.R.T. Each of thier ROMs brings something different but awesome to the table!

Tommy T's Classic as well. Has lot of unique features through the Classic Control Panel that other Sense 1.0 roms don't have.

S.O.S and alterROM are good for the aroma installer as well and offer a lot of choices, Sense, non-Sense, themed look, stock... Just go to the Evo 4g development thread and take a look at the first two pages. You're spoilt for choice on Sprint networks!
 
Most of the roms out today are great, like any other flashoholic, I'll run a different rom for a few days and then try something new. Right now, the rom of choice for me is SOS N with the Holo launcher, small footprint, fast and stable with great battery life. A hint of Sense still in there that makes syncing FB contacts a breeze

I am trying to find a rom for my dad's evo 4g. It doesn't have to be anything special but needs to have 4g. What would y'all suggest? Customization is not a necessity, but like I said, the 4g is. I would like to see it have better performance and battery life. Thanks in advance for the help.

Try any of the four above. Reloaded is AOSP - Keep the mason kernel.
For the other three I'd suggest using ca1ne's underworld sense kernel v0.8 to help with battery life.
