The very first link to megaupload is not a problem. There are NO viruses in this ROM. Those are false positives thrown by crappy antiviruses. Yeah the site might have ads. And they might pop up and annoy you, but that's why it's free to download from them.

I think all the links work fine. Tested each a few minutes ago and they all started downloading the files with no trouble. People are reporting problems with megaupload though. I think it is the site, not the file.

BTW, they are just different links. They all have the exact same file.

I had the same problem. it seems to be embedded in one of the ads, I had a popup that I thought was for the download confirmation then firefox locked right up and I managed to get a trojan out of the deal, luckily NAV picked it up right off the bat, and then I scanned my system with spybot and malwarebytes and managed to clean the rest of it out.
 
why is everyone talking about the new photo gallery?

mine is the exact same after i updated... am i missing something?
 
they were talking about the nexus one gallery that was ported over. I haven't uploaded it on the new leak yet, but in the first version of the leak, it went squirrely when switching from portrait to landscape.

and yes I can attest that it still doesn't rotate properly.

awwww I lost my gold star!!! LOL
 
I downloaded it from droidlife.com Not sure if they still have it up. Its not a widget though. It is the actual gallery application from the nexus one
 
I seem to have re-initiated the google sign in error for myself. I dont have a youtube account, went to sign in to youtube (the app) with my phone's gmail account and the sign in error came up that most users of the previously leaked version of 2.1 claimed to have when they booted up the phone. now every time i type my password, it still tells me there's a sign in error. >.<
 
Don't know what I'm doing wrong. Have downloaded from 2 different sources, mentioned here, and I get this:

HBOOT

<SEND> FastBoot Mode
<VOL UP> Recovery


Nothing happens past this point. I've even tried hitting the ball, and nothing.

Downloaded from Megaupload, worked great.
 
Take a couple off days from the forums, dont know whats going on. android facebook takes a dump. do a master reset only to find out its a facebook issue. sd card crapped out, had to format. decide to check out the forums, since bored and no facebook and SMACK! I SEE THIS???????

Just downloaded. This could make the day all better.
 
Just was looking at my favorite contacts pictures and they changed from incredibly grainy to nice and clean right before my eyes.......SWEET!!!!
 
gotta say, im happy. rebooted quick too.

fb working too.

gonna give thanks, then kick the tires and light the fires on this bad boy.
 
as long as the OTA has a different build it shouldn't be a problem. Its not like rooting where you can block OTAs or anything.
 
After installing I do notice a few of the fixes that people have already posted; fixed google login issue, SMS problems in Hancent, etc. But as far as battery life and "snappier," I think it's about the same as the first leak, which for me wasn't all that much of a difference from 1.5. Granted, I have only been using it today. But I am always happy with any minor fix or better stability, so I am not complaining. One thing though that is a bit irritating to me is lack of bars. No increase after new leak. But either way, cool stuff.
