i feel like this thread is like the movie "the truman show"....where at the end of the movie, everyone is like "what else is on?" and moves on with their lives

Exactly!!! I've been lurking here and in a few other forums (at first) back before the Moto Droid dropped. From January of last year I told my wife...okay....since family is now on Verizon we will switch...but let's wait....the iPhone is rumored to go to Verizon. Then as the year went on I told her...Okay...just wait until the end of the year! She repeated it and said...okay...end of the year. Now...by this time I'm getting on board for the Droid Rumors....and then the Passion/Dragon rumors....then it became the N1 Bravo/Desire and then Incredible. I was just sure it was going to be the Incredible for us...but here we are and I promised by mid May. Obviously I'm stupid and/or not a man of my word! So now imagine how I might break it to her that we have a choice...POSSIBLY the Incredible or the EVO 4G? I refuse to go to AT&T or TMobile.....but would be fine on Sprint in Austin where I live on WiMax....or on Verizon. So...that's what I meant. I've been sweating this phone bigtime. Now the Shadow lurks in the background! Ultimately, wouldn't it be nice if one of these carriers came out with a 1GHZ Snapdragon phone NOW? I'm sick of waiting! But, I REFUSE to fork over money for something I don't want. I already have a crappy Katana...it will last another month or two...or three. The big question is...which carrier is going to get my business. And yes...I also know they don't care and don't even know I exist. :eek: I know time will go fast and when the day comes that I finally get a kick butt phone it will be all the more sweet because I waited...and probably saved a few dollars in the process!
 
i told all of you guys! it wasn't going to be announced, nobody believes me!

I say mid May it will just show up at the stores...
 
This whole Touch Pro 2 when searching Incredible has been discussed before, come on people, read!

Dammit, time to log off the forum for a bit, this no news is making me irritable....

The Devour is one of the saddest excuses for a new phone I have seen in a while, it's right up there with the suckiness of the Moment! Who seriously is going to buy that thing????

Yeah, if you search for a string from the reviews of any phone, it'll come up with that phone.

search for "navigation is a nightmare" and you'll get the Omnia. lol strange to think I almost got that phone cause i thought it was awesome some time ago...
 
I hate the feeling inside of me, but I am losing hope. I don't want to get a droid and have it not be the latest phone quickly after. My question is what is the general time spacing between the releases of major devices?

Why lose hope. This phone IS coming out eventually. I can't imagine it would be any later than May with all the testing we've already seen.

What pisses me off is that they put Android on it...it should really be a dumb phone

Varies.........wait for the Nexus One then. Im pretty confident that it will release soon. It will most likely release before the HTC Incredible now definitely. Nexus One should be coming anytime between now and the end of next week and its still a great device, sexy also ;) blinking trackball!!! haha
 
I'm mad that the Incredible didn't come out, but I'm disgusted that there still isn't a snapdragon phone out. Seriously, Nexus one has been out for about 4 months, and we still don't have it. AT&T wasn't even announced as a carrier, and we still don't have it. This experience may have soured me on Verizon for good.

I'm trying to stay positive, but how many kicks in the nads can one man take. I have a nice Teste puree going on down there right now.
