I would like to remind everybody that cell phones or any other portable battery operated device can only do so much before you exceed practical applications with the current batt. technology.
I just purchased a toshiba laptop with 10" screen, 1.66 Ghz, 2g ram because it offered 9 hr. batt. This was more important for me to use a laptop / tablet device , than power a much bigger / faster one for 2-3 hr.
The smartphones are going to hit the same wall with batt. being the weak link for now. Yes, they can build them much faster but what good is a cell phone with 1 hr. batt. ? Same problem with these big laptops that have to be plugged in all the time. They are power houses and they require power. Much more than a batt. can offer and still be portable.
Everybody wants the phone to do it all and then they are going to complain about batt. life being 3 hr. and ask why sprint would sell a phone you can only use 3 hr.
People loose track of what is practical with the current tech. wanting more and more...
Ask yourself if you would rather have 1.5 Ghz blah, blah, blah with a 3 hr. batt. or a phone that will last 8 hr. or should I say 6 hr. because I doubt it will last 8 hr.now if you turn it on.
I will purchase this phone when it's avail. and be very happy with it. If I need more than it offers I will use my laptop. Everything is give and take to reach a practical balance.
Sorry to bring everybody down and back to reality but the focus of who is going to trump this phone vs what is practical needed to be addressed.
Maybe we could wear a solar panel hat : )
