April fools aside, the 1st kinda makes sense.
I noticed yesterday for the 1st time on TV VZW was advertising when the BOGO ends (31st). Isn't April 1st the beginning (or really close to the beginning) of Q2?
If they are gonna sell the N1 and Incred. at the same time maybe the 1st will yield something. Plus they could announce the phone on the 27th (that date seems to be popular).
I know we have nothing to go on and I am not trying to lead any of you on. I'm just looking for the next logical date for information to be released.
Plus it gives the Devour some time to itself on VZW's website and any other marketing they do for it. If they are going away from the Eris and Droid and bringing in new phones (devour/incredible) than you would think (hope) they launch the incredible soon. That way there are 2 new options, a high end and low end.

Shouldn't it say "Carrier OR HTC"? I think the delay is on Verizon's side IMO. Yes they have strict testing but I also think it has to do with them just being stupid when it comes to marketing/developing product branding. They over spent on Droid commercials, they have way too many devices (IMO) that take up space and really don't provide any differentiating value (most of the dumb phones are exactly the same) and they have the reputation (deserved) of being slow to the market with new devices (other than Droid and Eris).
The 2.1 delay is a part of it, they may have an agreement with Motorola in regards to how long the Droid has to remain the flagship. Who knows. The only thing I know is that if something similar to the Incredible is released (AT&T's Desire, Sprints Hero 2 or EVO etc) before the Incredible they are going to lose ALOT of people. Network be dammned (again IMO).
I seen this yesterday as well and it was also added to the VZW website with a count down.

I agree, I don't know how much they will lose, but they need to release something here sooner than later. If they wait until may-june (maybe to combat the new iPhone and EVO) they are waiting too long. Especially if devices like the shadow are coming this summer. Release something of high quality before the evo/iphone and after. That way you get the first word and last laugh!
