Root [Boost Mobile] Constant Freezing

I have had my Warp since January 2012 and I would sometimes have freezing or lock ups overnight, I have b08c, after I installed a ROM it would start acting up too much, it would freeze when I turn on USB storage. I installed the stock ROM that comes with the phone, now it would freeze more than ever. Before installing a ROM it would freeze 2 times a week now it's 10+ a day, I try to go on Google Music and when scrolling it freezes, I only have 6 installed apps. I often find myself spending most time removing the battery rather than using the phone, is there any other way, other than installing ROMs?

If you installed wp7 then you are rooted. But I believe it does work best to for that. My suggestion personally is to install unitology ROM. Its very stable and customizable minus the color. (Sorry Apollo)

Any other way besides ROMs. Now when I even turn it on, I press the power button, and when I want to use it again in a few minutes, it won't turn off so I have remove the battery again. Also just doing simple things will freeze the phone. Before it would take forever to boot up but freezes and lockups were very uncommon, now, the boot time is very fast, but every 5 minutes or so just freezes, or even by turning it on it freezes on the lock screen.

You need to root first. Then flash the stock b08 kernal which can be easily found then most your issues should be fixed but stock rom isnt that greay and i had random reboots so pick a custom rom i prefer unitology its smooth clean looking and easy to use and its b08 bassed. Pay attention to what rom you pick some use b08 others use b08c

Since the push everything is now B08. You already did a rom, so you are rooted, I would assume. And I hope you are if you installed a rom. Which means you SHOULD have cwm, which helps us.

But if you do not then you need to root your phone before doing what I am about to tell you. Understood?

Click the link in my signature. Go down to unitologyV1.0b. Download that. Copy to your sd card.

After you have done that, go in to CWM. (Hold volume up and power)

Click factory reset, yes. (let this run, then reboot recovery)

Click DALVIK CACHE, yes. (let this run.)

Click cache, yes. (Let this run)

Fix permissions, click yes. (Let this run, may take a few minutes.)

Now your phone is back to stock.. (reboot recovery)

Go to install zip from sd card.

Go to downloaded, or wherever you put it if you didn't download it from your phone.

Click it.. Scroll down to yes.

Let this install.

You should have the kernel in it, which will fix your problem, and you wont have all the bloatware or problems that you've been experiencing.

Ok I will try this later, since currently I am online on an airplane, thanks for the replies, I will let you guys know if it worked.

Honestly, this sounds like a hardware problem to me. I've never, ever heard of a phone crashing that often. Heck, I've had my Warp for like five months now and it's only crashed on me twice. I'd check with whoever you bought it from, and see what they can do for you so far as a refund or exchange goes.

I bought mine 7 months ago. It did the same thing. Wife bought hers 8 moths ago and was way worse. We slowed down the problem for hers with a new launcher.

Believe it or not, my phone froze less while on root. Now with root I haven't had a single freeze, I will continue to play some games with it, and see. I know it sounds kind of dumb.

Just download advanced task killer from the market and use the widget, turn off auto start and notifications, the phone comes with a task killer because too many programs run at the sametime and need to be shut off for ur phone to work at its best, people that dont use it have these problems...Soon as u turn it on it will show wats on, maybe 10 programs at once.....I use it daily.

Maybe that explains why my Warp has always been rock-solid. I've been using ATK since the old days when I had my I1. Setting it to kill on screen timeout helps keep your system running lean and responsive and helps a bit with battery life, too.

Every single android phone comes with a task killer app installed for a reason, advanced task killer is a better task killer app then stock task killer. Android itself is like a artificial intelligence base software that controls itself like a robot and just like a robot u have to control it with a remote and advanced task killer is that remote. Programs cut on and off without u using the program and the only way to cut it off is with a task killer program, (this is what cause freezing, reboots, lack of apps working properly and shutting off unexpectedly). Advanced task killer is rated excellent by the market because it helps, go to a boost store or sprint or any company with ur problem and the first thing they going to say is download it and use it daily....
