I've been to 4... If I get no news then I don't share news. I don't guess and try to pass it off as some. (not saying anyone in here would dare do that)

We are all tired of the wait. Nothing we can do other than BS til some news pops. It's a forum no one is forcing anyone to join in.


nothing personal but we are all tired of people complaining about the forum discussion. No one is forced to read or join in.

Ok folks, maybe its the weather, or the fact that you guys are stressing out, but everyone needs to chill the hell out. Next person i see go off on a member for whatever reason, will be banned on the spot. I don't care how many posts you have under your belt. Posts such as this..

Why? he has every right to express his thoughts which alot here also feel, but are afraid to convey because of a backlash such as whats happening. If he had flamed a member like the example above, then yeah I would agree, but he didn't.
You all need to take a chill pill and take a walk. This Verizon may or may not announce saga is getting to you all.

He has seen testers with the Incredible in the distribution center.
It is Incredible! ! !
They (VerizonWireless Distributions centers) will have it for in house testing for three weeks.
If all goes well the go ahead will be given to production to . . .. well produce.
He did not say where in the process it was then but worst case scenario 6 weeks right.

Either way I think we're close.

The rep also said that it takes about three weeks for production hence my calculated 6 weeks. Although not knowing when the actually got them makes it hard to pinpoint any specific or relative date for that matter.

He did say that it had the 512 Ram/Rom. I hope he's wrong on that count.

I know that I'm tooting my own horn by quoting this again. But he is starting to sound like he has the right info. I'm going to ask my "Verizon guy" today and see if he has any additional info.

I wanted to come out of lurk mode to applaud everyone for all the information in this thread. I am up for an upgrade in May, and made my decision to purchase an Incredible upon release based on this thread. :D

I briefly met a a guy who works at a Large Search Engine Company in Mountain View that begins with G. He was using his iPhone but a Nexus One was on his desk. Asked him about it: "They gave Nexus Ones to us at work but the reception at my house is poor so I've gone to the Dark Side."

I said I wanted an HTC Incredible. He asked why. I said "Because while I am sure the Nexus One is a great product, Google hasn't done the phone support thing before, and I want to stay with Verizon's service and support."

He sighed and said "Yep, we get that a lot. But I bet the Nexus One for Verizon will be available before the Incredible. And you have 30 days to return it."

I pressed for more information, but he declined to elaborate and then he got away after the meeting...
 
Alright guys, sorry haven't been posting...tough on a phone while trying to "penetrate" the veil of secrecy here...(not to mention i'm actually here with my gf to be social with our friends that live here not to spend 100% of my time chasing leads...although i've taken flak for doing just that)...

Having said that...

I met with a guy from a well known site (has "gadget" in the name...do with that what you will) as well as a few other guys from other big tech sites... They are all also suprised the Incredible wasn't "announced" (not released) at CTIA...apparently they were given sufficient reason to believe that was going to be the case. They have also been told by Verizon that "everything is on track" and that there hasn't been "any unplanned delay in the release". Not sure how to read that other than to pay close to attention to "release" vs. "announce"...so apparently the announcment didn't happen as planned (or hoped) but release is not impacted. I'm trying to find out more but i'm honestly at my whit's end with chasing informants and information...

I came to relax and vacation a bit and didn't get to do any of the above due to the drama releated to the Incredible... I head back later tonight and i'll see if i can find anything else out.

Please continue to be positive and contribute constructive commentary while we ALL work towards the same "Incredible" end goal here...

WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!

Ok I paid $9.95 to sign up for GoGo Internet on this Delta Flight just to find out we still do not know anything yet.

I would of thought by now one of you would of hi-jacked a VZW store and taken the boxes hostage to get more info on our phone.

Now someone owes me $10.
