Root almost there need help

ok i did the first 2 steps and a little confused with the third

you will need the latest su(superapp) found here:
Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip just flash that in recovery and you will have a rooted stock rom:
1.download and move the su file to the root of your sd card that means not in any folder. it just needs to be on your card.
2.go into recovery (power off, make sure fastboot is unabled, and then press and hold power+vol down)
3.select flash zip from sdcard
4.navigate to your su file by using the vol up and down button and select it with the power button.
5.once done, reboot. now you have a rooted stock rom:D"

please explain how i download this to my sd card on my phone. do i insert sd into computer and do it like that ? thanks in advance
 
Titanium Backup and the pro key will freeze and delete files.. Basically you should freeze things first then when you know your phone is stable, can you delete it.
 
Thanks, i did the t-backup and used the xda dev. list to see what apps can be safely deleted. Also thanks to everyone here for your help. I finally rooted my phone now I have to decided what are must have apps for my rooted evo 4g

Do you have a link to the XDA list of apps? I've been trying to find this.
