Ok, I have seen it before, but under Viper Tweaks, misc, is the hammer video tutorial.

I just now laughed myself silly at the Hammer app right below it, that's the first time I tried it! :D

Thinking about giving it a shot but need something rock stable since this is my work phone. I have gotten some mixed messages here as to whether it is truly a good solid ROM.

Haven't had any force closing on Play, unlike with other roms.

Maybe try clearing data on Play itself, clearing cache and Dalvik, and then reboot - see if it helps - or have you done that already??

Wiped and flashed this quick last night, Wallet wasn't working for me for some reason. Backed up, wiped and installed mean 2.8 and it was fine in that.

A few at XDA report Wallet trouble, if you enable the Gameloft tweaks that screws it up - in that case, best bet is a re-install to restore the proper build.prop file.

No wipe required on the re-install.

Known issue that they're addressing in an upcoming release.

Thanks EM, didn't enable that tweak and wallet is fine. This ROM is really smooth, very nice. Can't say I wouldn't jump at the chance for an S3 these days, but can't say this isn't beautiful work by those involved.

I think that the multitasking memory settings are kind of harsh.

Here's what I am running, presented closest I know how to an Easy button -

System Tuner, free version, choose Tweaks near the lower right -

Slide right along the top to Auto-kill, then lower left button for Presets, choose Medium to get this -

Then, Boot Settings, have it "Re-apply memory limits" at bootup -

I'm liking the difference so far.

If interested, you know the deal, nandroid backup first.

Don't use this if using dual-core mods or other kernel tweaks - this is a quick way to adjust the memory limits on the rom only.

Digging that new lockscreen option, as well as the button ones. menu to unlock for me, longpress home for camera is pretty great.

I just switched from the Charmeleon Rom. I rooted via the one click method, S on still (I think, I never did the lazy panda) Do I need to change radios?

After messing around with CM10, I'm sticking with Viper. Stock Android might be somewhat smoother, but I love all the extra bells and whistles of Viper, plus Google Now is working for it so I've got no reason to switch.

I keep getting random notification sounds without any sort of notification in the bar or sms/mail apps.

I think it may be alerting me to facebook notifications, but I have those off in the app

Is this still giving you issues? I'm getting bored with MeanROM and itching to flash something new, but small issues like these are what usually forces me to leave a ROM.

Does the dual core mod play nice with this ROM? It seems a shame to leave 1 core idling if it could speed the system up.

I'm not a fan, I tried it in Charmeleon. The two kick in as needed.

That said, lots of people seem to like it.

I think that there are a few, I believe one works, don't recall which.

Some control is provided by entering Terminal Emulator, then -

su
vc

And run Viper Control. Not everything there yet, but interesting.

I personally am not a fan of the dual core mod either. It ate my battery up
So we are stuck with a single core for the moment? MeanRom seemed to do well running both cores, but I like all the customizations available in this ROM.:(

Or is there something in Viper Control that runs both cores?
