So EM, you've had this ROM on your phone for more than a day, which has been plenty of time for you to tweak all of the memory management stuff and/or V6 supercharger settings to optimize multitasking. Right? ;) :p

On a serious note, I have found it to be better than stock as far as that goes, but it's still not where I (and a lot of other folks, I'm guessing) would want it to be. I'm not knowledgeable enough to peak under the hood to see what kind of settings have been baked in vs what we can tweak with ROM Toolbox or V6. I'm afraid I'd just be chasing my tail if I tried to march down that path myself.

Has anyone had a chance to poke around or mess with any of that yet?

LoL not me, not yet.

I won't be tinkering until after I have more assessment time.

People in the XDA thread were adamant that this doesn't need V6. The memory settings seem more than fair, but I wonder if it isn't a little bloated, not sure yet.

I didn't find the ui response acceptable until I set 2D acceleration under the developer settings.

Something weird happened today around lunchtime in my otherwise seemingly perfect install... All of a sudden I noticed text messages just stopped sending. I sent one, then another 20 minutes later and about 15 minutes after that I looked at the conversation again and both messages were still sending. I was in a lunch meeting so there wasn't much i could do, but I did restart that didn't help, then I cleared the cache's and restarted which didn't help, so I ran a nandroid, wiped everything and restored Meanrom and everything was fine again.

I'll try again later to see if it starts working again. I really like the idea of this rom. Hopefully they deliver on the idea.

The best part was I did all of that while participating in the meeting, and no one even noticed what I was doing. :)

So far now that I have a decent install and the stupid operator hasn't screwed things up :p it seems to be working for me very well. I havent noticed any quirks like ovrrdrive's messaging issue. Only quirk that I have seem to noticed is that when choosing custom setup and removing my normal remove apps it seems to be sluggish and others give me issues like FC's (Google Play) I haven't had time to remove with Titanium so I'll have to do that and see if I still get issues. On the Last Install when I did Full I have not had any issues with things the way they are and it seems to be running very well. I'll do my normal app removals in a few and then test it out for the next 24hrs or so and see how it does. I really liked his Elite ROM it was very stable and worked great for me. So my expectations are already there ;)

Like I will please keep us posted on your experience with the ROM. I'm going to keep a ROM log and post results back to the dev's to help them make this one better. I like you need to remember that this is still very early in its development. In these infancy stages we have to be careful of rating how well or bad something is until the dev's have a chance to work things out.

There's not enough time in my day to keep up with that thread, lol. Every time I come back to it there's 10-15 new pages of posts, and then people get all upset if someone makes the simple mistake of repeating a question that was asked 20 pages back

I'm absolutely loving the rom so far; I haven't come across any quirks or bugs in my normal every day use yet. So there's a big positive. I haven't delved into all the options and customizations yet, so there may be some quirks there yet to be discovered.

This was already out for the One X as Viper 1X - so this isn't quite an infant.

And j4n87's tweaks have been around for a while.

This is all a refinement and the apps are stock.

I don't know what may be causing problems for some - I'm running a custom install with Nova instead of Sense and it's the first rom I've had - including original stock 1.13 out of the box - where gapps like the Store _didn't_ force close on me.

PS in case anyone missed it - they now have big warnings to not restore anything about Sense using TB, it will break things.

They claim it's a TB problem and point to them to see if it's not documented and true.

Myself, I stopped using TB some time ago in favor in MyBackup Root - it's simpler and very straightforward. So, maybe that's why I have fewer complaints - no idea, just tossing that out there.

Hmmm... Normally I advise against using backups for anything but recently I started using System Tuner to do batch backups to simplify things. I wonder if that caused my problem...

I'll give it a few days and try this again and not use my backup and see how I fair.

wasnt meaning infancy as in its newborn just as its still in v 1 .0.0 so thats not a very old ROM :)

I've never had an issue with TB but did have a few with MY BACKUP, mind you htat was a while back and I had gotten intouch with the dev back then.

I'm also not a fan of the Aroma installer don't get me wrong its nice and all but i really prefer the old method but i'm more of a cli type person. still learning it though. (cli)

:( I want to flash this ROM so much! I've been reading every day until it FINALLY hit Tuesday, but I've been so busy all week long I just don't have the time to mess with it! I think I have everything that I need downloaded to go S-OFF and then flash this... and I'm just SITTING ON IT! :smokingsomb:

Tomorrow night, victory Viper will be mine!

It's a great rom no problems on it so far battery life is better than stock, and went with HTC dev unlock I don't see the need of going any other way atm plus it didn't come with the chance of turning my baby into a brick :-)

Flashed this tonight and am LOVING it so far. I've never had a ROM with so many tweaks; awesome.

Has anyone used the Exchange Mail Mod? When I check it, it flat removes the mail app from my drawer. I checked out xda and did a little reading (likely not enough) and there's a Stock-EvoLTE.apk that I downloaded.

My exchange account showed back up automatically but I don't think I can send or receive mail. Slight issue. I'm think I should have deleted it before check boxing the mod or maybe I can still delete and re-add. If anyone has had success using this mod, I'd love to hear about.

Not a huge deal but my corp requires pin or password and after all this time, I'd love to use pattern or better yet, FACE UNLOCK!

UPDATE: I did delete the account and try re-adding and it seemed to work but after loading, it just said "No Mail." Hmm. I tried again but this time went through Manual Setup and that worked. The quick setup uses a different sever than they gave us back in the day for Manual Setup so I'm not sure if that's the difference but I've got Face Unlock working now!

When you're ready to go for S-off, just let us know, we'll help if you hit any snags. :)

Make a live CD / Live USB beforehand, and confirm you can boot into Ubuntu before beginning. Trust me. ;)

I set my notification bar transparency for apps to the halfway point - very nice. :)

I have my noti bar at full transparency for home screens as well as Rosie bar (if that's what it's called. I love seeing 100% of my screen and wallpaper. I've noticed it's a tad tricky trying to keep my home noti bar at full transparency while having apps noti bar at zero transparency. haven't nailed it yet. seems like doing one does all and vice versa. trying to find that sweet spot. very cool though. only tweak I would like added is ability to change color of phone dialer keypad and call button etc. that gray with the green call button throws off the feng shway(no idea how to spell that shway part)

on another note, how possible would it be for some devs to figure out how to speed up the camera to keep up with the burst mode clicks??? it's disappointing some times when I hear 10 clicks and end up with only 2 pics. it happens about 50% of the time, so it seems like better consistency is all that's needed ....would be an appreciated improvement I bet for many...

I personally recommend the camera mod, it's all I use (see our sticky guide for the link if it doesn't jump out at you).

I always get a lot of shots on burst mode, don't know if that's the mod or something's up with your end.

It will be affected by lighting and picture size - anything that affects processing the image pipeline.

Ive been running this as my daily and must say its really working very well. I'm running ssLauncher and loving it. The only issue I have encountered since I've seemed to have it running well is I'll hit the back button to back out of something and then I can't seem to get to home just more stuff for me to back out of I end up hitting the home button and it's fine for a while. Weird

Mine does the same thing in regards to the shutter sound verses # of pics taken. Sometimes mine will still make the shutter sound for a second or two after I let go of the camera button. I haven't flashed the camera mod since I upgraded all of my firmware, might be time to do so.

I keep getting random notification sounds without any sort of notification in the bar or sms/mail apps.

I think it may be alerting me to facebook notifications, but I have those off in the app

Finally flashed it! Didn't go S-off first, but it's working fine. What are the specific benefits of S-off anyways? Flashing kernels, overclocking, anything else?

Seems good so far. Had a big problem with using MyBackupPro to restore apps+appdata, but aside from that I'm loving it!

S-OFF gives you the ability to flash things through the bootloader. With S-ON everything that is flashed through bootloader has to be digitally signed by HTC, but having S-OFF disables that. This is very convenient when updating radios, changing splash screens, installing recoveries, ect.

The unlocked bootloader will let you do most of that from recovery, but those who took the newest OTA can no longer S-OFF and they cant flash radios, splash screens, or kernels from recovery. There are workarounds for the kernel, but its about being in complete control of your phone.

What we need to do is edit the sound file of the shutter so that the interval between sounds is longer. Should be really easy to do, and if I get around to it, I'll post it.

Might even be able to make it align roughly with actual photos taken. I just need to figure out if the actual intervals is constant and if so, what the interval is.
