Root [ROOT] One-click root for LG Connect 4G :: 3/3/2012

If u r talking about run. when I right click on it it won't let me open it as adminisraitor

don't right click on run just click on it and another box is gonna pop up just hit run make sure you have your phone on debug mode that's it

I put up a big thanks to all of you out there working for this, its great that there are people like you that care to help people get there ish working. On that note, I am really looking forward to furthering my knowledge of android phones and learning more about the technology in my hand. I want to root my phone as I do not particularly like the crap that came on it when I got it. However two weeks after I got the phone I ended up knocking it off my nightstand into a cup of water in the middle of the night. I have managed to get the phone back in working order and it works just about 100%. With one really inconvenient problem. The usb port on the side will not work, there is not a way to connect to the PC from the phone, That I know of, other than bluetooth. Would there be a way to root my phone through bluetooth? or any other means. Thanks in advance for any help, and I will do what I can to contribute to the site.

Thanks
Jester

First time rooting...anything. I click on the link and it says its installing the drivers and once its done it asks me to restart my comp, I do, and nothing happens when it comes back up? I have the file "spectrum drivers" zipped and unziped I click them again and it starts te install process all over again?

OK i think the root/CDM recovery was successful, at least it said it was in the DOS window but i don't see any changes/files/apps on my phone to start removing bloatware. Can someone help a geezer?

The first attempt did not work but the 2nd one did :p Thanks to every one who contributed!
Now that all the metro crap is gone, how do i remove other preinstalled apps that i don't want? I got root explorer so i can access all the files but not sure about identifying the apps.

Never mind. It's all GOOD!! Happy happy happy!

Did any one loose PolarisOffice ? when running the debloating ? I can't open PDF's directly and I can't make it so another APP opens them, since the APP that handled them was removed now I don't get the little window asking which APP i want to use for handling this type of file ...

Any way to force any app to be used when opening specific files ?

Not at the moment, and it would be an application not a bt pairing.

I've been checking you guys for a minute for ill root tips for all kinds of smart phones and you never let me down! Just dropped 3 bills and some change this weekend on a new LG Connect with MetroPCS (they're stepping up their game) and couldn't wait to root it! I set the the device to USB Debugging and switched the USB connection mode to Internet Connection upon leaving the store. Once at home I "Connect"ed the LG via USB, installed the Spectrum drivers and ran the Windows Batch File I previously downloaded-- less than 5 minutes and I'm cool rooted! Thanks fellas, now die effin Bloatware!

Read every entry up to here. Ran run.sh in terminal in the proper directory and have checked debugging and internet only. Been siting like this:

*] LG Spectrum Root Exploit (OS X version)
[*] by Dan Rosenberg (@djrbliss)
[*]
[*] Before continuing, ensure USB debugging is enabled and that your phone
[*] is connected via USB.
[*]
[*] Press enter to root your phone...
[*]
[*] Waiting for device...
* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
* daemon started successfully *

I guess it's not recognizing my phone?? What now?

Hello,
I am new to rooting and to the forum community. First of all, I want to say thank you to the devs and everyone else for making this. However, I have a problem that I was hoping you guys could help me with. I'm not sure if this occurred as a result of me rooting the phone, but it seems like it is since it started happening after I rooted. My phone will turn on, load everything, and then reboot. If I try to use it, I can only do so for one minute before it reboots. My phone worked normally for the majority of the day after I rooted, but that night, and ever since the day after, my phone has the problem described above. The day that my phone worked, I verified that I am rooted (Superuser is installed and I used Root Checker). Could anyone please help me fix this/ help identify what I did wrong. I'd really appreciate it. Much thanks. :)

P.S. Could anyone also help me figure out how to unroot?

have you tried doing a factory reset? Do you have custom recovery installed?
