Will, you can always try it. If one store tell you no then try another store. Only harm done is a waste of gas, unless you combine it with other errands.

I havent heard of corporate stores doing such. Although I have heard and seen some franchise store doing it. Try calling before you drive around.
Another way and you'll probably get more is good ol Craigslist. Just have to other person meet you at the metro store.

That might be possible not all stores are corporate stores. Friend might have gone to a independently owned store if that's the case they set there own rules.
