MIUI is one of the most popular Android ROMs in the world. It is Android-based, featuring a more comfortable user experience and robust theme selection.​

BUGS:
  • Cameras have problems.
  • Regular GPS doesn't work, network GPS does.
  • Torch app doesn't work.
  • Built in tether doesn't work, use a app.
  • If you turn Wifi off 3G doesn't automatically come back on, a phone call or reboot/hot boot fixes it.
  • Speakerphone sound cuts out sometimes, turning it off and on fixes it.

Installation will wipe all your Data and Settings​


When upgrading MIUI you can use the Backup application for backing up and restoring your data:
➯ Go to Security Center folder > Backup
➯ Press BACKUP
➯ Select both System and Applications
➯ Press START BACKUP
➯ After its finished follow the installation instructions below
➯ When the installation is finished and the phone boots up go back to Security Center > Backup
➯ Select your backup and select System and Applications again
➯ Press RESTORE

Installation:
➯ Copy the zip to your SDCard
➯ Boot into ClockWorkMod
➯ MAKE A BACKUP
➯ Select "install zip from sdcard"
➯ Select the MIUI.zip
➯ Select "yes"
➯ After its finished press back
➯ Select "reboot system now"

HELP! I installed a theme, went to reboot my phone and it went dead on me. IT will not even power on now. lol. I try to get it in CWM and the phone has no power at all. Looks like I gotta send it in for warranty.

Oh well, shit happens. lol See you guys in a couple of weeks.:p
 
I keep getting this pop up whenever i open an app that needs root access such as titanium back up or goomanager. "Unfortunately, LBE Guard has stopped." Anyone else getting this, and is there a way to get around it?

Wat? you sure your battery didn't die bro? Installing a theme through the theme manager isn't going to brick a phone, I've used it and everything was fine. All it does is download a file to your sdcard that contains images and then applies it.

Could be hardware failure or your battery.

You have to enable root access, open up LBE Guard, select manage root permissions and enable it at the top. Now press back and select apps, make sure the root apps you have installed are trusted and allowed.
 
I guess the same issues exist with the Sprint version??? What about the camera app causes it not to work?? Just curious because the Alpha release of Quattrimus had/has the same problem....

mms might work for sprint, I don't know.

It has some of the problems from tdm's CM9 because its using lib's/bin's from it.

Nice work! Modded for my Ignite and all looks good. Still need to test mms. Looks like it did send but haven't got a reply yet. Maybe they're still sleeping:D

Here's what I did.... I opened settings I tried to wipe my sd card and it would not wipe. I tried again and it still would not erase the data so I said to heck with it and left it be. I then went to the MIUI themes and downloaded one of them and then applied it. I then pressed the power button down and selected reboot. It looked like it started to reboot but froze with only the bottom lights dimly lit. I waited for almost 10 minutes before doing a battery pull. I pulled the battery, waited for a few minutes then tried to power on.... no go. I then tried to get into CWM..... again, no go. Switched out batteries and tried again.... no go. Tried with 3 fully charged batteries so the battery is ruled out.

Looks like I've had terminal hardware failure bro which freaking SUX! LOL:dontknow:

The phone is on it's way to LG as we speak. Just sent it 10 minutes ago.:D

I sure hope so. Most of the people I know that have sent in rooted phones that would not power on have had there phones fixed. We'll see. If not, I'll buy something else. :D:D

Monster brought it to my attention that it looks very similar to the way Mvaness phone crashed. We both tried to wipe the sd card through the phones setting and ended up with the same problem. A DEAD PHONE.

GUYS, I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT I AM SURE THIS ROM HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH MY PHONE CRASHING. IT'S JUST ONE OF THOSE THINGS THAT HAPPENS SOMETIMES. I HAVE COMPLETE CONFIDENCE IN EVERYTHING BLOODAWN RELEASES AND AM IN NO WAY BLAMING HIM OR HIS WORK FOR THIS MISHAP. SHIT HAPPENS!:D

That is EXACTLY what I did, and I had the same result. Dead phone. Absolutely dead.

I too have complete confidence in these developers, or else I wouldn't be back.

I just hope this doesn't affect anyone else, and someone can figure it out.

I'm back to using CTMod because I do like to have gps for stuff like My Tracks. But I am still testing these roms. I just won't wipe the sd card.

yeah if u need to wipe just do it in cwm
 
So far everything works great well except for what was mentioned. But I am having a hard time with the Cinammascre app and an app called Emit which lets you stream from your PC to you phone. Matter of fact I have trouble playing any movie at all in any format. Is this a known issue?

did they work in CM9?
 
Yes they worked wonderfully in CM9. I have tried avi, mp4 and m2ts with no luck. It acts like it starts to work as I head sound but no picture then the app freezes up. Of course I am only trying the gallery app and Emit to play them so far.

in the ICS build the h/w video playback is broken you can use a s/w video player such as mxplayer on the market and be able to watch videos And since this was built on ICS I'd imagine its broken in this ROM as well.. this Roms is pretty neat though I'm going to check it out in a little bit when I get my son to sleep... awesome work to the devs good to see this phones true potential... on another note did anyone try other camera apps on the market for a while when jt was building ICS for the origional galaxy tab 7 the stock camera was broke but angel cam worked good without flash.... maybe something to check out....
