Root [ROM][ALPHA] Quattrimus ICS

I'm pumped! I've heard a lot of good things about AOKP and have been wanting to give it a spin.

Can we expect this AOKP build to have the same issues as your CM9alpha3(mms, speakerphone, gps, camera, etc.)?

Amazing work man! Everyone's really been great on these forums. I'm not a developer(yet) but I have brought my Marquee back from the dead and do know quite abit so I help where I can. :)

@TDM
Hey man can you start a AOKP ROM thread? Anyone have any screenshots of AOKP?

Yes aokp will have the same camera issues and mms issues, until I get those things fixed.
I will use this same thread for both cm9 and aokp. If I started a thread for each device and code variant, I'd be up to 8 threads and expecting to get to 15 within a month. :o

Glad I'm not the only one that was happening to! It's been driving me nuts

Me too. I even tried using anycut to create a shortcut to apn's (which it did) created the new apn's as instructed, and still my mms force closes as soon as I try to send picture. I can send texts no problem and receive pics. Just can't send them.

Let me know if I can help out at all. If you want I can upload my xml so you can try that. All I changed was the apns-conf.xml and apn's so if you matched the apn settings it has to be the config file

That would be great if you could do that, It isnt working for me either, I switched the apns file and followed the directions exactly but still no dice.

After lots of trial and error with the speakerphone it does work. You just have to wait till the other line is actually ringing before activating the speaker. If you try to activate the speaker while it's still "Dialing" it will time out in 10 seconds. Otherwise it works fine.

Not sure if anyone has brought this up yet, but I see huge drops in battery when I restart occasionally, earlier today it dropped about 10% from just a reboot. Last night, I checked my battery percentage which was at 24%, then I went and played guitar for a bit, then when I checked again it was at 25% while it was in my pocket the whole time!! Anyone else seeing either of these things? Wondering if it just isn't displaying the percentage correctly or something.

New AOKP build. Third time's the charm, 3G finally works. All other device-specific cm9 bugs remain (camera, mms on boost, etc.)

I updated the same file on the server:

http://getquattrimus.com/roms/quattrimus/sniper/quattrimus-sniper-aokp-alpha3.zip
New md5=059f720842720d81ad8b71a0598f6ca6

For the devs:

Turns out the method of allowing rild to start pppd in cm9 was specific to cm9, and aokp doesn't have that commit. I'll have to add that or something. See cm9 system/core repo, commit 389a2fa1 by Ricardo Cerqueira. aokp doesn't have that commit.

Oh, and just to nip the "can I dirty flash" questions in the bud, here are three simple guidelines:

1. Always do a full clean wipe when moving between major android versions (gingerbread to ics, for example).

2. It's your device. If you want to dirty flash between alpha versions or between cm9 and aokp, go for it. The worst that will happen is that apps will FC.

3. Please always do a clean flash before reporting any bugs. I hate it when I can't reproduce some crash because it was caused by a dirty flash. It wastes my time and clutters the forum thread with useless posts.

How do you do a full wipe?

Could you define a "dirty flash" and a "clean flash?"

Spent about 5 hours on 3G today, taking the kids to the zoo. Didn't use the phone hardly at all. Drained the battery pretty fast, maybe 15% or a bit more per hour. Don't know if this is due to my apps syncing too often or what but that really sucks. I am wondering if the cell radio is not very efficient...?

I have a question is there a way to change charging cause like if your phone dies it keeps trying to turn the phone on and then it dies.....is there a way to keep the phone off and charge it when your phone dies
