[Verizon] Connecting to computer issue

Alright, no matter what I do to install drivers or whatever, i can't get it to connect to my laptop at all. It will charge, but that's all it will do. I know I don't have fastcharge on, unless it's in the current kernel that I have installed. Any help would be great, as this is a BIG issue for me.

what about USB Debugging? Silly as it sounds, I've had that bork certain phones for me before.

Has it worked before on that machine? Have you tried to plug in the phone while the device manager is open? Will it show up as an unknown device or anything?

Do you have a different usb cable you could try? Sounds like a hardware issue. Either the cord or the phone's charge port. You should get something, even if it's an unknown device.

my 3 usb cables went bad and i had this issue, i would go with iowabowtech's advice replace the cable which shouldnt be that expensive and see what you get.

Thats the thing though, i've used 3 different cables including the stock one. It works on my xbox though. which is weird.

Sounds like a PC issue more than the phone at this point..though I'm at a loss as to why your PC won't recognize it anymore. If it used to, maybe try doing a system restore backwards to a date you remember it working?

Try to test it on another computer as well, if possible. Otherwise, only thing I could suggest might be to double-check all your auto-run settings (which shouldn't matter, since it should STILL show up in My Computer as a drive), and also to search / uninstall any Samsung software you can find, see if it does anything. I'll try to look up more tonight at home, see what I can find.

Okay. i'll do try and uninstall the drivers.

I fricken uninstalled every GD android driver off my computer. installed the naked driver from here, and that worked for fastboot, but then when the phone was in operation, i couldn't get it working. so then I installed the PDAnet drivers. and now everything is copacetic(had to google how to spell that)
