Root Removing Zip from SD after install

So, can I remove a ROM zip file off the SD after it's loaded on the phone.
It doesn't boot from the SD, right?

That is correct. Once the ROM has been installed, the install zip isn't used. Though, it wouldn't hurt to keep it there in case you ever need to re install it. Though, a nandroid would also suffice for that.

Cool. I am building a folder on my computer for everything I am using and have liked. I am using nandroids as back ups and leaving them on the SD.

just an fyi nandroid backups are pretty big. they can take up a lot of space on the card. for me i usually keep two nandroids. one is my current rom and the other is one that i like. i also keep one .zip file of a rom that i like as well.
