Root Wifi Tether on Metro doesnt work anymore

my evo is flashed to metro and im running Decks reloaded rom and today i was used wifi tethering for my laptop (something rare since i only get 1x signal) and when i opened the chrome it said tethering was not allowed on metro and it would only take me to the metro pcs website how can i get the hotspot to work?

PS i was using wifi tether app on market since the hotspot that comes with the rom doesnt work

have you tried other wifi tether versions? you can find it here in this guide: http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...net-tethering-w-evo-4g-3g-wireless-wired.html. not sure how this works on metro though.

thanks im going to give that link a try but what i wanna know is how does metro know im tethering? i have a flashed phone and isnt the tethering suppose to make it seem as if the phone was using data for its own needs?
