Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

It's so so so slow at work today and I figure it will only get worse tomorrow. Ugh - days before a 3-day weekend are awful.

Just want to go home.

I'm currently roasting poolside at Hurricane Harbor NJ. There's a nice breeze. We have 2 chairs, my daughter loves that she has pretty much free reign as long as she tells either me or my dad where she is. Life is good.

I am jealous of you Pup! Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend, no matter how long or short. Have fun, stay safe, and make sure you come back here in one piece!

Morning everyone!
Halon, is it even cheaper at Sams Club than elsewhere?
That duel screen Kindle sounds interesting.... Wonder how low they can price something like that?

Morning all! College football is back! Awesome game last night between Vandy and South Carolina. This was the difference in the game. 4th and 11, Vandy is down 17-13 with just over 2 minutes to go. Jordan Rodgers (Vandy QB) throws one deep to an open receiver down the sideline as he's hit. This is what ensues:

Pass interference anyone?? Anyone?? Bueller??

Morning all...just checking in and trying to get caught up....seriously having a hard time in the RW these days....so thanks to everyone here....helps me get through the days. Seriously.

We are still struggling to make a decision about Austin and work. The biggest kickers for us right now is that there are zero jobs where we are right now...or how to justify leaving my kids.....
Wedding plans are moving along at an ever increasing pace....woo hoo!!! Feel like we are getting there. Not quite ready, but getting there.
Hope everyone has a safe holiday weekend...and get a chance to relax for a bit!!!

Anybody out there that stays current with TV's? I'm looking for a 46-55" LED full grid array backlight with local dimming. Any suggestions on what models to look for? I know Vizio makes one that is actually a good performer for a decent price but it's an older model...like 3 years old. Sony makes a few but they are outrageous.

I am fully dedicated to Samsung TVs personally. I have two and they have been awesome for me. My DLP especially, owned it for 6 years, it's on 10 hours a day (background noise, my wife hates a quiet house, creeps her out :p). Only had to replace the bulb once.

Morning all, apologies for the lack of links, I've been feeling a tad under the weather since yesterday. It was all I could do to drag myself back into work today!

Today should be slow here, perhaps I'll bundle yesterday's stuff and release something midafternoon for you all :)

As far as I know, Samsung is almost totally dedicated to edge-lit LED tech. I'm only aware of one Samsung that is LED BACK-lit with local dimming.

The Samsung UN46B8500 appears to be the only option from them.

Good morning all and TGIF!

Just got into work now and I get on the train at 7:47AM. Our train stopped suddenly only to find out there was a disabled train in front of us. Not usually a big deal but I guess we had passed a switch track so we had to push this train two whole stops to the end of the line. It was quick shaky the whole way there - interesting start to the morning.

It's only like three dollars cheaper than walmart... Unless they are doing a sale I don't know about...

A little over $3 less.

SamsClub seems to be the only place that has it "in-store". Granted I've only checked online to see what is available "in-store" and a lot of times what the website says and what you find IN the store are two different things. I don't feel like waiting for it to be shipped, I just want to go in somewhere and purchase it. Tomorrow I may go check out to Wal Mart, Gamestop and Staples? If one of them has it then impulse might make me buy it. I really should decide if spending $250 right now is a good idea.

Don't apologize. Health first.

I love the idea! Now I just need to talk the boss into giving me an empty plane with a full tank of gas! :)

Good luck with that!

Has anyone here ever had tendonitis? What does it feel like?

Get it in my elbow frequently. Tennis elbow from actually playing tennis...go figure. Like Darth said....dull pain/ache until it is put under physical stress (moving the wrong way, putting abnormal pressure on it, etc) then sharp pain. I got to the point in a couple of matches where I could barely hold my tennis raquet.
