What is the latest ROM on Sprint?

Newbie
I just got my Hero and was wondering which is the latest ROM version. I tried entering my SN onto HTC support site for ROM download and was told that the 2.73.405.5 is not for my phone.
My Firmware is 1.5
Build number is 1.56.651.2 CL85027


I searched this forum about it but found nothing regarding sprint.

are you trying to figure out what the current firmware is?

if you are its 1.5 right now unless you root you can flash a 2.1 rom on....

sry im not to sure what your asking.
 
I am trying to find out if I have all the latest phone updates for my phone.
Should I just depend on the Device Self Service application that came with the phone to update it?
I do not want to hack into my phone (yet). I am looking for Sprint and HTC supported software updates.
What confused me was that I went to HTC site and I read that there is a ROM upgrade but it was dated 2009. So it might be an older ROM.

I got my phone a few weeks ago, and it already had the latest rom upgrade.

Menu > Settings > About Phone > System Update

Will check your rom version...

If you try the system update, and there's no update available, then you have the latest update.

1.56.xxxxxxx is the latest Maintenance Release, so you already have it.
