Root [THEME] ICS for OA 2.3.20

This a theme i made in my spare time per se. I've themed the icons, notification bar, settings, popup windows, pattern lock screen, and a whole bunch of other minor stuff.

Installation
  • Boot into cwm and mount /system/ and /data and then install zip from sdcard.


And also if there's something you dont like tell me and i'll see what i can do

P.S. I tried to change the default wallpaper but it didn't work so when you flash you won't have a wallpaper as your background. I'll provide an ics wallpaper to download.


Changelog [12/24/12]

Spz0 fixed the issue of the wallpaper being blanked when flashed and made the default_wallpaper an ics wallpaper.

Just did and i like it ...
But you should have made the status bar totally black so it resembles the actual ics

yeah i was starting at the status bar like hmmm. I might change a couple of things later. But man it took a ridiculous amount of time to do this.*sigh*

Lol i know right ...im still working on the jelly bean theme....
Its not easy...very hard and stressful lol

I will never rush a developer again lol but yeah i actually copied over cyanbread to this rom too and i started at like maybe 1am? I was up till almost 10am -_-

Your phone will blow up lol idk. I've actually never tried to flash the framework from a different rom. I just assumed it wouldn't work
 
Nothing changed but the battery and signal bars. I tried it with and without the system mounted. I like the notification pulldown in your screenshots. Wish this worked for me.
 
Ok If you can't flash it there's an alternate way. I have to do this since i cant flash any themes in oa. It's pretty annoying but eh. You have to take the systemui, framework-res, and all 3 fonts and put them on your sdcard. Then move them to your root directory which is /, now from here change all the permissions to match the picture in this post. Then just move each file to it's respective folder. Your phone will start constantly vibrating and reboot when you overwrite the framework file but that's just so the changes can go through. When overwriting systemui you have to power off or reboot your phone. And the fonts you also have to reboot

Well the baseband is phone specific so each rom doesn't have a specific baseband. Whatever your baseband was before you flashed it that's what it's gonna be after flashing a rom
 
see with this rom I have better signal a had the same baseband ff18 before with putu 22 and update 2.3.6 and bad signal low speed but with this rom is goob

This will work for any baseband as long as it's running oa

Well i know after flashing the update it changes your baseband to ff18. I never payed much attention to mines.
 
Looking pretty good there from the screenies Kage. Gj. ;)
I would use a different font, as I find that one hard to read. As for the statusbar color mod, that one is pretty easy, as its not a .9 png iirc, so just changing the color in gimp/photoshop should work like a charm. Should also try to rework the settings apk to mimic the ICS menu system. ;) ;)

Props m8. If you want to release it as an official theme once refined, go right ahead m8. I'll stick it up on the original OA thread as an alt theme for all the ics junkies. ;)

Yeah I'm gonna edit it a little later on 2day and then ill update this thread and thanks. After how long it took I better get some props lol
 
Since i cant get this becuase i did the 2.3.6 update and cant get 2.0.2.8 anymore (i think) which leads to me not getting This Rom OA. I was Wondering if you can tell me the Font Name? :o

No you can still get it. Just boot into cwm and flash cwm 5.0.2.8, reboot recovery and then you can install OA but the font is called polo brush

Ok it's like this
  • Download my zip file and open it up with something like winrar
  • Extract framework-res.apk,systemui.apk,settings.apk,clockopia.ttf,droidsans-bold.ttf, and droidsans.ttf and put them on your sdcard.
  • Now you need root explorer to move all of those files to your root system directory
Then you're gonna wanna change the permissions for each file to :
Read write excute
Owner * *
Group *
Others *

From there you just move each file to the folder it belongs in:
framework-res.apk goes in /system/framework
systemui.apk and settings.apk goes in /system/app
clockopia.ttf,droidsans.ttf,droidsans-bold.ttf goes in /system/fonts
