I'll wait till May'ish...I want the Incredible over the n1

I just can't pull the trigger on the N1 with all of the problems they've had with it, and the lack of Verizon support to handle returns. Inredible, Shadow, or Evo, if that somehow beats the other 2 to release.

Well, I never thought that I'd be saying/typing/thinking this but if we don't have anything concrete on the Incredible if the N1 comes to light first, then I'll be getting the N1. Period. It would be a huge upgrade for me over the Moto razr that I have, and this waiting game is becoming absurd. Oh, and it doesn't help that I am impatient as hell! ;)

MM, Noooooo!!! Don't go! You are Mr. Cool!!!

I am holding out for the Incredible because:
(1) I want to be able to go into a VW store and get service on the spot if I need it. Google is not as seasoned as VW at servicing hardware.
(2) I think it will have superior features (conjecture).
(3) I believe my price if I buy from VW will be less: My NE2 was 1/10 and contract renewal is in May, and VW has always given me some kinda deal that I liked.

Here's someone else for you guys to beat up on at the Verizon Forums

new signs of hope. Too bad i have to get a new phone by the end of this week. I guess i'll get a phone then return it within 30 days as planned.

That's what I unknowingly did, haha. I got my Moto and then read all the Incredible info, well, at least I got to try out this OS and became sure I love it. I really hope the 2 week window is anywhere near real.

Everyone should look at the Verizon Press Release from the Skype announcement. It clearly announced that Skype would be available on March 25 on NINE phones but then only lists SEVEN. While it is not 100% that those missing two are the nexus one and the htc incredible, I have not heard rumors of new VZW blackberry phones or skype capabilities on the Palm webOS.

Just a thought...

Believe me, I hear ya there, Wood. All I am looking for from Verizon/HTC is a friggin' morsel! A lousy crumb! Anything to go on!!! All they have to do is give us an Incredible release date when they unveil the N1 and nobody gets hurt! :p

Hopefully they do just that. There I go with that hope word again. Verizon never seems to come through with anything I hope.

I would have no problem buying an N1 if it didn't have 3 different issues bothering it. Four if you count 3g connectivity, but I think Verizon's network will fix that. That many problems without a store to get immediate service just won't do for me.

That's really old lol, from CTIA.

Well, the Incredible isn't released yet or even announced. The EVO was announced and a ton of sites/companies got to do a hands on.[/quote]

It figures I post something old. No excuse either as I have read every damn page of this thread and was a lurker on the Passion/Bravo thread.
I deserve my flames.

I'm kind of in the same boat. If we get concrete release info on the EVO or Shadow before the Incredible is available (note the differences between "concrete release info" and "available"), there's a good chance I'll wait for one of those other two devices. N1 isn't too appealing to me.

Verizon better get their act together... Somebody else mentioned that the iPhone has proven people will go to an inferior carrier for the device they want. I'm not an iPhone-ite, but I will go to Sprint if I have to to get the phone I want. With Android web traffic about to pass iPhone, I predict there will be plenty of people who will join me.

Was the devour in that list of 7? If not, that could be on of the missing 2?

There is at least one new Blackberry phone coming out very soon, it is the Tour 2 (not sure if that's what it's being called or not) with a trackpad. So that still leaves one spot for the Incredible.

EDIT: Nope, nevermind, I found the list and it does list 9 phones:
Blackberry: Curve 8330, Curve 8530, Curve 8830 WE, Storm 2, Storm 9530 and Tour 9630
Motorola: Droid, Devour
HTC Droid Eris

Is it me or is no one paying attention to the fact that someone got to play with a HTC Incredible test device in a VZW store where employees are apparently getting training?

Go to this link and there's a list at the bottom with 7 under compatible, and 2 under capable phones.....I don't know what the difference is, but there are 9 phones total.

This is NOT a flame, just an observation. :D:D

This thread is like a bunch of kids camping out around the box office for a week to get tickets to a Hanna Montana concert and talking about what songs she will sing, what she will wear, will the seats be good, when the box office will open.....

It's Miley!!!

I was watching tv the other day and saw a commercial for the HD2 from HTC. I wasn't really paying attention until the end when HTC "quietly brilliant" came up on the screen. My heart almost stopped because I thought I missed a commercial for the Incredible. Still, it's the first HTC commercial I've ever seen!

Maybe I'm handshy by now, but I just don't want to get myself all worked up until I actually hear something from Verizon...
