It looks like they ran out of room when adding the camera and had to extend it or something. Couldnt tell you about the weight, as he was kinda holding in under the counter.

I also forgot, but I reported that he was told they will be selling the Nexus One in stores - I was wrong. He got word that they WONT be selling it in store, but they will be servicing the device. So that should settle any confusion people had, I know i've heard that Googles service SUCKS and just only recently opened a phone line for support"

My co-workers Dad works for VZW, and his dad just called him to say that they are holding off on releasing the N1 because of the 2.1 Android OS.

The 2.1 update should be available OTA in the upcoming week or so (I haven't been tracking when the 2.1 update is coming). VZW wants to push the fact that they have Droid and Incredible running 2.1, thus saying "why buy N1, when we can give you product support and Android 2.1 with the Droid or Incredible?"


I just read this on another thread and made the post a few posts above. Information seems like its starting to roll out today/this week. If this is true, it would be smart on VZW part somewhat. This is from the nexus one forums btw.

100% you can reup your contract 4 months early on a 2 year contract with the discounted pricing.

Good point, never really thought about that as being the "surprise" it would really be different from all the others.

According to this though, looks like VZW wants to release the Nexus One after the HTC Incredible and DROID with 2.1. This would be smart if the Nexus One is sold only through google.com/phone

Amazing how two of my aunts work for Verizon and a very good family friend of mine who is best friends with my mom works for Verizon Wireless. And i don't even ask any of them about phones or stuff. lol

I doubt my two aunts have anything to do with phones since they aren't part of the VZW branch. But the family friend works for VZW and was even in a commercial with the Voyager when it first came out :p Maybe i should ask her lol

Maybe that's the ""surprise" that other US carriers lack" that Engadget was reporting on. That could definitely change things.
