Root [GUIDE] Unbrick OR Unroot LG Motion 4G [KDZ]

i was just wondering...is this a possible way around CWM for flashing ROMs?....we could use the package that we flash through emergency mode and keep the update script in there maybe...

I dunno, i haven't checked the files or anything like that...i just know on one of my old android devices, two actually, they made ROMs that you had to flash through the stock recovery, and all you really did was change the zip name...

This is just a wandering thought...
 
No a .cab contains wdb wdh and DLL files......it is impossible to build a rom into a cab unless you stole some programs from LG.....
 
why did u say "Ways to get into emergency mode and recovery mode are unknown by me currently. If you have info on that, it would be appreciated to share it" when u explain how to get into emode here??
How to get into emergency mode:
Hold Power+Volume Up+Volume Down
To get out of e-mode, pull battery (do not do this while flashing firmware!)

How do I know what I am clocked at? just picked up the motion today. I definitely want to have the 1.5. Do I need an app? I cant find it anywhere in the menus.

oh okay (: sorry if i bother just was a little confused by the that i thinkk i got it wen i got it on Tuesday on wirefly ima try it. so does the phone have a Non-automated recovery mode yet? and last question does it matter if the phone is in emobe or booted?

People have had problems while booted (program would not start) so start from e-mode
 
I have a question, what are the chances that this phone will eventually be able to be rooted (to ultimately be able to use it as a wifi hotspot).

I'd like to know so I can go ahead and get the great 55$ plan.

I need a serial # to get the firmware...PM it to me and I'll PM you the firmware...as soon as I get home.
 
hello does anyone have a nandroid backup for a l45c i have search everywhere and have come up empty any help would be deeply appeciated

I told you I need a serial # to make an unbrick/return to stock method for it....pm it to me and I'll make a guide.
 
Sammy, I cannot get past the find phone part on the final step. Any ideas? Everything else is running smooth. Should i just keep trying it?
 
Ok I figured it out, my battery was to low from all the attempts and right at the end it would die and kill the download/emergency screen. Fresh charge and it worked like a champ. Another confirmed. :) thanks!
