Root Just rooted my Evo 4g... now what.

ok so is there an ice cream with sense? im looking on xda and i dont see one. how do i know what the different roms will do?

look up. there is a list of rom and such stickied to this forum. i just created this last night. it is not quite finished but it has most of the roms there.

there might be some ICS themed sense roms out, but you might not see an actual ics sense rom. there are plenty of ics aosp roms out however. check it out.

aosp stands for android open source project. it is pure android with no added stuff that each manufacturer adds to set their handset apart from each other. this is usually built straight from the source code.

sense is what you are most familiar with. it is what htc added to make their phones unique. it is basically a different type of launcher and widgets.

i rooted my evo and had a nice jellybean rom but when i tried to flash it to revol i had to revert back to stock gingerbread. what i want to know is if now that its flashed, if i put my jellybean rom back on will i ruin the settings?

i'm not sure what revol means. you can just flash a gingerbread rom or you can restore a nandroid backup (hopefully you made one before flashing the JB rom).

revol is another cell provider. i activated it with them instead of sprint. didnt want to screw up the phone trying to install jb again i have no backup

roms are software. they do not touch your radios so you should be fine flashing to another rom.

Mms can be an issue though. As most roms are configured for sprint
