***Official HTC Incredible Thread***

The Nexus 1 for VZW is a CDMA phone, which means its a completely different hardware product from the first Nexus 1 GSM phone for TM etc. It needs a separate FCC filing etc.
On this basis, it is obviously different hardware to the GSM version, and could be different in other respects too. From what we know so far, the CDMA N1 and GSM N1 are identical in packaging and specs.

I would be surprised if we don't get any more hard information if not an announcement within the next two weeks. I just know I'm going to flippabitch come mid april if we don't see anything. Everything is pointing to this month though. Fingers crossed!

Just went into my local VZW store in Philadelphia. Spoke to a salesperson in the store who had no problem giving me information about the Incredible.

Bottom line: the Incredible is WAY better than the Nexus One and worth waiting for. Will be out sometime within the next two weeks (before April 15)

The salesperson said that he has actually held the phone and played around with it and is personally going to get it the day it comes out. Said that the phone is all black and has a better camera than the Nexus One.

While this is information isn't anything entirely new, hearing from the VZW salesperson that it is 1. real, 2. absolutely amazing and worth waiting for, and 3. better than the Nexus One was good enough for me.

Also, he said the Nexus One verizon is getting is different than T-Mobile's. I was there to get info for the Incredible so I didn't get more info about that but seems like VZW either way is trying to promote the Incredible rather than the Nexus One.

How come there are no pics of the sales rep?? I call FAAAKKKEE!!

As for everyone who keeps talking about the Store associates that are playing dumb, they really aren't. Sorry to be a downer

I'm a sales consultant for a pretty big Premium Retailer in the Midwest and they haven't told us a thing about this phone, we usually get VZW merchandising a week or so before release and Manufacturer Merch can sometimes be sent 2 weeks before.

I've also had a buddy of mine who sells Fios on the east cost ask his wireless people about the phone, all they know is whats on the forums, they don't get told jack until the trainings, all they say is before Summer, and everyone knows its supposed to be a Q2 phone.

As for girlfriends, my fiancee played a horrible trick on me by getting excited when I got home the other night saying "did you hear did you hear, IT's been released!" Of course I had doubts because we were sent nothing that day, but she still waited and watched me sign on this forum just to laugh and call me addicted.

I did hear from local store employees that they will be servicing the N1 but not selling it in their stores. I still don't know why that would require a whole day's training, but who knows.

I'm still trying to keep any optimism in check. Last month everything pointed to big news in March. At this point it's a self defense mechanism with me I think. I don't want to live through the dissapointment again!

The day we get concrete information from multiple sources I'm going to be so relieved.

Very true, I was so happy the day we found out that "Incredible" probably just the patent's place holder name, because everyone I talk to about the phone always made fun of the name so I was finally able to talk to them more about it and tell them it was gonna have a different name!

You need to assure your gf's that you indeed love them. You need to assure them that technology comes and goes, but your love for them in constant. We are boys. Sorry for the 1,000,000 VZW store post but I found this one interesting.

Im in Louisville, KY and stopped by one just a few minutes ago. Here it is.

Him: What can I do for ya'?
ME: Im looking for info on THE rumored phone.
Him: Man they don't tell us crap. You probably know more than me.

Enjoy guys. I may try a cpl other stores. If people want. I just don't want to post these if everyone hates it. I just thought it was nice that one of them actually knew about it without prompting, and his assumption on rumored phones was the Iphone. I also had him type in the adr6300 in the system and it only just kept pulling up the eris (adr6200).

I also live in Louisville and pumped the three VZW stores in/around the malls last week and no one knew about anything coming from HTC except the N1. Glad to know I'm not alone here in KY.

This is true. To be honest I am so stoked about the Incredible that I have completely written off the Nexus One.

I'm definitely leaning towards the Incredible (aka HTC Jedi Ninja) however, I haven't written off the Nexus One yet. If the infamous Verizon testing identified and fixed the majority of the problems the T-mobile version has and if they removed/replaced the trackball with an optical trackpad, I could still see myself going that way if it's released before the Incredible. I still think the Nexus One has a very sexy form factor and great specs.

Everyday that goes by I lose hope more and more. I have no doubt I will get an incredible. But it is looking like I will be getting a droid on the 7th and buying an incredible full price when it finally releases.

In project terms, the anticipated release date is slipping a week every seven days. Nothing new about that, given that the anticipated date is and has always been a wild a$$ed guess flavored with a sprinkle of heresay sauce.

That said, there's enough evidence thats been turned up by the diligent sleuthing of this thread crowd to convince me that:
- The ADR6300 is real and is coming to VZW
- Its a better product than the GSM or CDMA versions of the N1
- It will be released sometime in the first half of this year

I've stopped cursing out my ancient razr when it drops dead mid call, or goes blank white screen, or pulls any of its other menu of common fail modes. I now curse VZW for delaying release of the ADR6300, which WILL be my next phone. Those bastards.

I will post more info as I get it, but the phone is coming IN APRIL.

Just wanted to add that a corp. contact my co-worker (friend of his whom I've met previously) has stated the same thing to him. They are rather cryptic about it still text was essentially, "by end of april" and they won't expound or divulge any further info. bleh.



Do know droid price will go down when released (per them) as I was thinking about getting one until this release but was advised to hold off.

Just called a few Verizon stores in the Cincy area, all didn't have any info on release dates for either Nexus One nor Incredible of course but one did say the "Incredible will be game changer", (I think we all know that by now) and another said release in the summer. Would 2Q be considered summer or would that be 3Q? Only posted for a feel of the regional aspect if some of you are concerned with that side of things. Never really experienced different release dates from coast to coast only country to country. Getting a bit cumbersome reading all of the same sheet just different wording, SO here is my silly post!

Does this lead you to believe that the phone isn't as close as we think to launching.. I take it the testers are still testing the device?

An announcement may be coming but the release may be soon. They're testing a new load so hopefully this will be the last one before release.
