Like i said a while back, and of course got bashed for it. NKT is the only one to ever post any solid info.

The real question is, do you still hold to your (speculated) mid-april release?
(I know it was a guess, but does this info change your mind at all?)
I think they're going to try and have the devices loaded before being given out.
I'd say a couple weeks. But that depends on the marketers and how much they wanna hype the phone.
I love this post. Probably the best I walked into verizon...... Post ever. One of the "benefits"of being OLD is that people often treat you differently,....a little more patient with you because you are probably confused and slow minded. Using this to my advantage, I took my 16 yr old grandson with me to our VZW store last night.
He wandered off to look at the phones and I patiently waited for a salesperson. A lovely young lady offered to answer any questions I might have. I told her I wanted to get my grandson a new phone for his 16th birthday and he had his heart set on "this phone" (and I handed her a crumpled piece of paper with the name "Incredible" written on it.) She said she had never heard of this phone but he might really like the Devour.
I pressed her about it and got a little shaky-voiced....because " 16 is such a special birthday!" After what seemed like forever, she finally said, "ma'am, we're not allowed to talk about that phone,...but if your grandson can wait a few weeks we may have something he will like."
So same-ol-same-ol.....but we had a great time giving it our best shot!
After-thought.....maybe some of you should try crying when you go in and ask!
Someone just posted this message in the Official HTC EVO / WiMAX 4G thread and pointed this out: Sprint's HTC EVO may be sold on Verizon as HTC Venture. I'm just curious as to what you might think.
As always, NKT thanks for everything.Asking you based on all that you know... what percent chance do you give the Incredible being released SOMETIME in April? I literally mean ANY TIME between the 1st - 30th?
In project terms, the anticipated release date is slipping a week every seven days. Nothing new about that, given that the anticipated date is and has always been a wild a$$ed guess flavored with a sprinkle of heresay sauce.
That said, there's enough evidence thats been turned up by the diligent sleuthing of this thread crowd to convince me that:
- The ADR6300 is real and is coming to VZW
- Its a better product than the GSM or CDMA versions of the N1
- It will be released sometime in the first half of this year
I've stopped cursing out my ancient razr when it drops dead mid call, or goes blank white screen, or pulls any of its other menu of common fail modes. I now curse VZW for delaying release of the ADR6300, which WILL be my next phone. Those bastards.
Thanks. 1 more, not to overwhelm you![]()
How BIG or small do you think the marketing for this phone will be...?
On a scale of 1-10, 1 being no marketing, 10 being Droid type marketing+. Thanks!!!
There was also this article yesterday from brighthand.com HTC EVO 4G Could Be Coming to Verizon with LTE.
So maybe there is some credibility to it.
- I'd say we've got the marketers job covered there! But that depends on the marketers and how much they wanna hype the phone.
Probably in the 7-8 range. It'll probably fall into the same Droid power-type marketing based off the specs and design.
ANY time in April? I'd say 90%.
Thanks 1 more time man! Your info. is greatly appreciated!
Conjecture follows:
Based on NKT's confirmation that there a new build being tested, its highly likely that the release date is not yet set in stone. There's probably a marketing plan ready to roll out, but this won't start until the tech side of the house approves the build for volume production. Its only then that a firm date will be knowable.

Dang you. That spot was reserved for Steven!
Hmmfff.
I also live in Louisville and pumped the three VZW stores in/around the malls last week and no one knew about anything coming from HTC except the N1. Glad to know I'm not alone here in KY.
mmmmm heresay sauce that's good stuff.
I'd say that's probably the case. They have a "window" for release. I don't think the actual date has be set.
An announcement may be coming but the release may be soon. They're testing a new load so hopefully this will be the last one before release.
