well i have been lurking since january. been enjoying every little bit of information i get from this forum. the only information i can give is that when i spoke to my corporate verizon rep, he told me he had tested it, and it was fantastic. but he did tell me that it will come with a 16gb micro card. now that may be something that is already been confirmed. just thought i would pass that along.

but hello everyone, my name is dave. live in ga, got a newborn baby at home, so i check out whats going on in the middle of the night, during feedings. really enjoy everyone in here.

hope everyone has a great day.

Thanks for the info. I don't think the 16gb card has been confirmed. I didn't have any info on it and speculated it would only come with an 8 like the Eris.

So if you have 8gb on board w/16gb microSD, nice... :)

i got my wife the lightweight .38 with the pink grips.. you know you suck when you get killed by a 5'2'' lady with a pink gun... haha

12 ga pump here. (yeah im in the south haha)

AR-15 here. I can hit an 8" (head-sized) target at 100 yards in a 40mph crosswind with my Aimpoint. As for those targets closer than 100 yards, they'll probably make themselves into 200+ yard targets a few seconds after I chamber the first round of M855. Which is Incredible. Where's my new phone, by the way?

Hey Guys,

I've been trying to get info out of our Corporate Rep and this is her reply to me today.
"not as good as the droid - it will have a faster processor but an update is being made for the droid to increase the speed - the droid is still the best."

I don't like the sound of that....but I'm supposed to get a call from one of her techs from her office that is a "droid geek" and hopefully i'll be able to scrounge some more info out of him...

Edit: I don't like the sound of it because it seems like they may not push the ADR6300 as much as we think...

i want to hear more about making the droid faster.

[Everyone in Unison] Hi Dave.

Free Kappy and Montana Man!

Aren't they based off the same architecture and chip pretty much??

And isn't it the same as the whole war between the Xbox 360 vs. PS3

DROID + iPhone 3GS have a dedicated GPU which is better than the Snapdragons integrated. But Snapdragon just has a better CPU? In reality, if developers utilize the GPU in the DROID like they do in the iPhone 3GS, it will get better framerates and do better in gaming. That's why the iPhone 3GS still gets better framerates than the Nexus One.

Feel free to correct me if im wrong, but the DROID still does have potential over snapdragon.
They are both ARM architecture chips, yes.

Both the Cortex A8 and Snapdragon are System on a Chip (SoC) design, so they both have integrated GPUs. Apparently Motorola decided they wanted an external as well. Maybe HTC will do the same with the Incredible?

I've been waiting for this phone for awhile now, and as much as I hate to say it, I can't see the Incredible coming out anytime soon. If the rumored specs are true, then this phone will be outdated by the end of summer because of the release of the Evo and possibly a Verizon Iphone. So Verizon really only has one option: Take it back to the drawing board, update it with 4G technology, and try to beat out the Evo and Iphone. Perhaps that's why there have been rumors about about the testers sending their units back.

Plus, they already have the Nexus One coming out with almost the same exact specs. If they are indeed going to sell it at VZW stores, then this only increases my doubt we are getting the Incredible anytime soon. I think it's more like that with Google losing the lawsuit for the rights to the name Nexus One, they will just end up changing the name to Incredible for release.

I hope I'm wrong though.

Sounds like someone's been drinking the Haterade...

Grrrr...

This forum has been absolute hell to follow on my Blackberry Tour while in class! Guess I should be paying attention in here anyways LOL

But thank you NKT for the great info! You made my day pretty much as far as phones go! Can't wait til VZW decides this sucker is ready to be put out!

So, I have a genuine question. Why is this phone so highly anticipated? Is there this much speculation for every phone? For example, was the DROID forum this much abuzz before its appearance? Someone enlighten me?

Me? I've never been this anticipatory for a phone. Is it the fact that I'm here talking about it?

For me it's the combination of form and function I've been waiting for. I would have gone with the Droid until I tried out the demo in the store. I really didn't care for it's exterior, and the keyboard seemed great in theory, until I tried typing on it. I did like it's build quality though. My wife is much more concerned with the looks, and the Droid was a no go from the start when she saw it the first time.

I have an appeal to all lurkers: Why don't you come out of the woodwork and show yourselves? Contribute! Let us get to know you! If you follow the rules you won't get your head bitten off! Thanks!

I have read just about every page here and have yet to speak up. I feel like a peeping tom and I am disgusted with myself. However, unlike kennyyu, my patients will die if I don't take my eyes off the screen every once in a while :D

I'm pretty sure I share the same anxious feelings, pessimism, optimism, and excitement about this phone and I am biting at the chomp for it!

I will do my best to contribute, since I now know all of you so well, and you know nothing of me.

(please don't PM me with pictures of your rash asking for advice :p)

I wonder if we have any lurking psychiatrists. There's got to be case study material in the collective anxiety on this board! :D

This is exactly how I feel. I actually have the Droid, and am not a fan of its design, it's solid, but in taste, it's not me. I have two weeks to return this, hopefully by then we will all have word on the Incredible.

welcome dave!!!!!! stick around! congrats on the newborn!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This phone will be my first smartphone. I've gotten fed up of getting stranded downtown with no access to Google Maps! I like the form factor, have finally manned up and decided to go with no physical keyboard and can appreciate the feng-shui that goes into something like Sense.

Eris fits all those requirements, but if I'm dropping money on a phone I'm waiting for the nice one.
