Oh Snap! You got beat down by Grandma!

I can see her now - being accosted by a street thug who's trying to steal her new Incredible, "What the heck-fire do you think you're doing, young man? Where are your manners??" (as she beats him mercilessly with her cane!) :p

I sent her a PM. I think we are all good.

Has no one here seriously never seen a [/insert name here/] quote type signature that stands for a certain part of the board population?

I see it all the time in forums. It means you are speaking(usually sarcastically) for a group on the board that has a common view of something.

Anyway, thanks for letting the air out of my balloon NKT! :D

I don't understand why we get all excited every time one of the hundreds of VZW employees on this forum says that they got promotional equipment. I appreciate the info, but do you know how often stores get promotional info? It could mean nothing unless you tell us what that promotional info is. That's great that the Droid gets a new sleek photo, or the Eris gets a bigger picture..we're all in this for the Incredible!

Also, I can't thank you enough NKT. All the info you have posted for us. I think I can say this on behalf of everything, YOU ARE AWESOME. lol :p
Anyway, do you know if the back of the phone is flat like the Eris?

No, it was not flat.

I honestly have not, but maybe I am the @ss-hat :D I am more of a forum n00b. My bad.

My guess is that they are already produced. (Can't change anything without reapproval from FCC, right?) So they are sitting in racks and as soon as the final version is ready, they just hook em up and update, then package.

From the little experience I got being an "Indirect" dealer for Verizon, I believe they only need FCC approval on anything that has to do with transmission power and frequencies. A slight adjustment to the Operating system does not necessarily mean it has to go back to the FCC for approval.

Right, which is what I meant. The phones are produced because they can't change the hardware without reapproval. So it's just the OS thats holding it up

I have an appeal to all lurkers: Why don't you come out of the woodwork and show yourselves? Contribute! Let us get to know you! If you follow the rules you won't get your head bitten off! Thanks!

Didn't seem awkward at all and seemed to give it some character.

That's not to say some people won't like the way it feels, but to me it wasn't really noticeable.

Would you say it felt much different than holding the Eris or N1 or droid?

You know... something occurred to me the other day. I work in a low-tech manufacturing industry, and I'm absolutely floored by the little bits and pieces of insight I've gleaned from this thread about HTC and Verizon's design, review, and test processes.

To be able to send X number of devices out to testers, test them, get them back, organize the test results, fix the problems and start all over again in a matter of what's really just a few days boggles my mind. I know we're all really anxious to get our new phones, and it seems like everybody's dragging their feet, but I'm really quite amazed at what they're able to do. I'm sure HTC and Verizon are pedaling as fast as they can to get new releases out, it's just that there is a LOT to do and it's a complicated process.

That said, HURRY UP before I do something stupid like buy a used Eris! :D

Rather than thanking each one of your posts NKT (i'll call it pulling a Steven) I will just say, THANK YOU NKT for keeping the dream alive!

You guys are lucky they don't go through the test review process we have over here at the Jet Propulsion Lab... we have a rover that was supposed to launch last year and we're just finishing the flight software release!

Dude I wasn't bashing anyone's Grandma. Sarcasm is lost on so many. For those that do not understand, the [/a bunch of ass-hats on this board/] thing at the bottom means the post was a quote for what a bunch of people on this board are thinking. You know, how some jump all over other people that give info about, maybe, things like boxes...........calling them liars, etc.

\Next time you may just want to add a ;) or a :D or amybe even a - JK - sometimes sarcasm is difficult to decipher on the web. :)
